Having said that we all have different needs and leads different lifestyle so we need to do the right type and amount (typically no more than 20 mins max) to see good results.
Toss the DESTRUCTIVE aerobics out and incorporate a good interval training program like Al Sears PACE program (alsearsmd.com) with some strength training, start slow and gradually increase the INTENSITY not the TIME, you want to decrease the time, your heart ,lungs and overall healthy will dramatically improve and you'll ward of diseases like cancer , diabetes, heartdisease etc...Don't forget a good diet which in my opinion is foremost, i rate diet first then proper exercise along with all the goodies we learn on mercola.com and alsearsmd.com. both of these websites compliment each other.

re: Exercises Found To Rejuvenate Muscle Tissue

When you read the research on exercise here is what you find. Some research shows aerobic activity will make positive health and fitness changes. Some, as this research shows that strength training will make positive health and fitness changes. Then there is the great work by Al Sears that shows you need to forget everything you heard about exercise and do interval training. So who is right? Do your own research. I spent 25 years on exercise research and found that all have their benefit and invented the exercise device that allows you to do it all. In fact what I have found works best is to switch all of them. So I do periods of aerobics with strength training at the same time using the HealthVest (www.healthvest.com), and then when I do my interval training I still use the HealthVest. Go see what a 57 year old looks like that incorporates all these protocols on a regular basis.

re: Exercises Found To Rejuvenate Muscle Tissue

My current exercise program is working on five acres. And speaking of that, I've got to get out of this computer chair. :)

Happy weekend everyone!

Amanda

re: Exercises Found To Rejuvenate Muscle Tissue

This is good news, even if you have "lost it" you can still get some of it back, if you are willing to make the effort.

Mary

re: Exercises Found To Rejuvenate Muscle Tissue

There is so much out there on exercise these days. What do we define as exercise these days? I think it comes down to what type of exercise works for you. You may have athletes that train and get a benefit from it, you may have others that do long hours of Oom Yung Do and use not weights, but get even more benefit than we can even imagine.

re: Exercises Found To Rejuvenate Muscle Tissue

Use it or lose it, is now don't abuse it for a rejuvenatent.
