This startling (but not too surprising) finding was literally “stumbled upon” by a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic

re: How Does the Latest Glaxo Drug Scandal Affect Your Health?

Thanks Dr Mercola.

re: How Does the Latest Glaxo Drug Scandal Affect Your Health?

Another very disturbing but yet, not suprising article, especially the antidepressants for kids. And most of the people around here just lays it off as-the kids have it too easy today-they won't work-we can't do anything with them-they are no good anymore-they used to not be this way-they are always wanting to get into trouble-what's wrong with them-and on and on it goes. Never stoping to even giving a thought as to why their own kids are so hyper and disobedient. I think we have proved that a combination of certian drugs, food additives, neglect and filthy TV shows, including some cartoons, are the leading cause of bad or (awequard?) behavior in kids. I have read about and seen with my own eyes a complete turnaround in a kids behavior by just changing their diet. My grandson is one of those kids. We noticed by changing his diet he became more content and a whole lot less hyper. We have agreed to keep him from certian foods and candies because we do not want to see him on any medication when there is really no need.
As for adults, i have taken the time to get some of them on my computer and show them research, testimonies, products, and sources to at least give them an oportunity to at least think about trying something that others has proved works for them, while at the same time reading the (side effects) from the paper their doctor sent home with them along with their medication. I never suggest to stop their doctor visits or medication. Most of those adults will agree with what i have shown them, but they disreguard it, and even realizing the side effects they go ahead and take their medication. Of course that's their decission. I believe the only way to detour those massive attacks on our health is keep trying to inform the people that is on medicine(who don't really need it)and hope they will start asking the right questions and start changing their diet for a start. But then again, who are we going to believe?

re: How Does the Latest Glaxo Drug Scandal Affect Your Health?

This is disgraceful! People put so much faith and trust in these companies - if people were actually given the FACTS about drugs and their potential side effects, they would think twice about taking many of them. It's unfortunate that the drug companies are allowed to 'set up' as publicly traded companies, which put profits before people. If you look at the history of 'drug based medicine' - it didn't work to FIX anything back then, and it still doesn't now. If just interferes with the body's homeostasis, and addresses symptoms only.

The Billions of dollars spend on 'conventional' health care is wasted, are we any closer to the cure for cancer, or heart disease - the two biggest killers? NO... (and we haven't made progress, because it's getting worse!!) so it really is time for a change in the health care model.

re: Here's What Happens When Drug Makers are Forced to Publish ALL of Their Studies

This is very strange that the only way I accessed this article was from the "New Comments" page. Has the pharmaceutical company got some computer whiz-kids to sabotage what is a very important article?

re: Here's What Happens When Drug Makers are Forced to Publish ALL of Their Studies

This article is not showing up on the homepage of VitalVotes.

Could someone at VitalVotes fix it? Thank you.

re: Here's What Happens When Drug Makers are Forced to Publish ALL of Their Studies

I dare say, from what I have seen, that if all drug studies were published for public scrutiny (something Big Pharma will fight tooth and nail saying it plays into the hands of their competitors) at least 90% of drugs eventually allowed to be used, or are currently in the market place, as prescription or OTC, would be OFF the shelves, for lack of safety.

Considering the Tsunami of manic advertising gong on these days by Big Pharma, for many useless or harmful brands, such a result, would indeed be good for overall health of America.
