When I was a young girl, I tripped over a tree trunk playing chase w/ my cousins...My aunt scooped me up off the ground & carried me to the camper & grabbed the MAYO from the fridge...I didn't know what was going on w/ that but the next day I woke w/ many a scratches from that trunk but not a bruise one! Till today, I still run to the fridge for my trusty little jar of regular MAYO, everytime anyone has a fall & I can get to it quickly...I don't know if it works on an existing bruise, but U may try it to C if it works for U...I don't eat reg. mayo & since mayo is edible, I do use it externally for bruises & it DOES stop the discoloration from surfacing...I will try these remedies in the future!!!

re: Eight Natural Remedies to Speed Bruise Healing

Rubbing a bruise for about five minutes with olive or other vegetable oils several times per day helps to remove the discoloration. Initially the bruise turns a darker brownish or greenish color, but dissapears more quickly than when untreated. I was tild this about 45 years ago by a 88 year old and tried it. It works! My wife has had huge bruises (from where a horse threw her though a fence, breaking off a post and breaking a 2"x6" rail) which have disappeared in a week using comfrey. It often fixes bruises overnight. It is excellent for sore joints, sprains and strains, and broken bones. My 96 year old grandmother broke her shoulder, the doctor said it would never heal and didn't even set it, I gave her comfrey cream which she used twice daily and it was completely healed in 10 days. I have a severe reaction that sets in the moment they puncture my skin.
The pain is so incredible that I'm immediately alerted to their
presence and am able to easily remove them because they are not dug in
yet.
But I still get a golf-ball sized, scarlet, insanely itchy lump that
lasts for up to a week. He goes into the wood and picks stuff to make his rub on liniment he calls it. The only thing that i do know that he puts in it is dandilion. No joke, that stuff works miracles. Instant relief from a wasp sting, boil, chiggers bites, and many others that i can't recall. You can almost see the hide grow back from torn skin. Three days on antibiotics from a pulled tooth, one rinse with his liniment and the bleeding stoped. It will set you on fire but it works. going to have to get his recipe. I was wondering, is arnica one of the twelve tissue salts. I forget. I think i heard dropping a little aloe in the ear can help remove wax. Anyone?
