The bandwagon effect... how true...particularly in the case of a cancer diagnosis.
Here in sunny Australia, not only are we egged on to see cancer recovery as a battle ( instead of a self discovery journey ) but we all go along like sheep and believe, just because everyone else has chemotherapy, that's the way to healing.

Well, I jumped off before they poisoned me, and with the help of Friends
With Cancer, an online recoverers support group, I learned the truth about healing and am now fighting fit.

I learned all about fasting, oxygen, sunlight, gentle exercise, relaxation, forgiveness and finding a goal bigger than yourself.

And you know what, early on I was directed to Dr Mercola, and read about canola oil, fluoride, artificial sweeteners, medical conspiracies,
cancer research (into drugs) , what a goldmine of information that is.

Yes, I guess a bandwagon could only be a good thing, if it was promoting long lasting health, but healing takes time and is achieved by right thinking, patience, and self discipline, not a temporary quick fix tablet.

I don't think there would be many willing to jump on the good health bandwagon, sheep follow the leader, and the leaders are sick.

I like the --Lets create an image effect. You know, I have to create a public image of myself to get a vote. I guess that would fall under the category of the outcome bias. But for the ones that do have the tendency to judge and the ability to see what was, and the ability to see just exactly what is trying to be created now, they would ask--why do you have to create a new image of yourself--are you afraid we won't like the old one!

I liked the professional bias, where you tend to ignore things that don't go along with what you have learned in your profession.

Absolutely true. Every second we are bombarded with an incredible amount of information. In order for us to process it, our nervous system deletes, distorts and generalizes information.

The filtration process based on our values, beliefs, attitudes,memories, decisions and language.

If we change the filters, we change our perception of the world and therefore our reality. Cool stuff.
