He has always preached that the higher the heat, the more you damage the food item and the less nutriteous it is.

People, save your money and use a crockpot. I cook most of my meats this way as it is cooked at a lower temperature and does make your meat moist (no it doesn't roast it). You have to plan ahead as it does take longer for food to cook this way, but you can put in food that's already frozen (doesn't have to be thawed first - just cooked longer) and it's great for people that work. Dinner is done when you get home!

re: Finally a Simple and Easy Alternative to Dangerous Microwave Ovens

Doc:

You are correct that convection ovens are efficient and a better way to cook. BUT your description about how they work would make any engineer ill to read. Put in the simplest terms, any device that brings air in from the outside MUST exhaust an equal volume of air to the outside simultaneously. Simple law of physics, Doc. Such statements damage your credibility.

BTW, we have been using countertop "toaster ovens" for the last 11 years for almost all of our cooking, except for things that won't fit. Bought a larger model a few years back to fit more items. Very healthy way to cook, most things can be baked or broiled. Less mess, much less energy used, faster cooking.

I'll check out your equivalent convection unit; have been wanting something like that for a while. It's definitely a good idea. I hope it is a good product.

re: Finally a Simple and Easy Alternative to Dangerous Microwave Ovens

I quit using a microwave long ago when Dr. Mercola indicated the harm it does to food. I have since discovered a perfect way to reheat and cook food. I use a small convection toaster oven and insert a glass baking dish with whatever food I need to cook/reheat. Vegetables turn out great - almost like you cook them on a grill.
Vegetables - place them on the glass baking dish, add butter, real salt, pepper, garlic. 350 degrees for 15-25 minutes. This retains the flavor of the vegetables.
Reheating is a breeze also. Just place on dish and 10-15 minutes later, it is done.

re: Finally a Simple and Easy Alternative to Dangerous Microwave Ovens

I wrote to you several months ago complaining about the price of your Aroma Oven.
