It's interesting to revisit this site at such a late date after listening to Dr Mercola's interview with Dr. David Holt on the subject of German New Medicine. When people are told that they are sick, instead of healing, they become convinced that they must remain sick (or die). The old saying "You find what your looking for" seems to be true. In some primitive cultures they have what is called "pointing the stick" by the medicine man. When he points the stick at someone, they die, because they have had a shock. And they really do die, my father has seen it first hand in New Guinea. It's all a matter of what we subconsciously believe.

I am glad you mentioned mammograms. My sister just finished going through a very challenging ordeal going from having a lumpectomy done for stage one cancer, then finding out she's in stage four, then changing her whole life style causing her to be cancer free - with no chemo or radiation! It can be done! We learned a lot and one of the things we discovered is thermography for breast examinations. It uses infrared which is much safer than mammograms that use radiology. If you want to have another way for examination besides self exams, this may be the better way to go. Dr. Mercola, do you ever use this modality at your clinic?

Perhaps I am going a bit against the grain here, but it seems strange to me that Dr.s going on strike would cause an IMMEDIATE drop in the death rate- especially since many of the ways the allopathic system hurts you tends to be through long term poisoning and nutritional deprivation.

I have read elsewhere that the main reason the death rate drops is simply because there is no one on duty to sign the death certificates! Not that that changes anything, but I don't think this is serious evidence of the problems we face with western medicine.

great article! Maybe people will get the message (although they haven't yet). :( A friend of mine who died, not from the cancer but from the chemo, .... her husband was told her oncologist after her death that the chemo kills 50 percent of the patients. Yet why didn't he warn her about this before? Not only did she die from the chemo but her quality of life the last 11 months of her life was horrible. And what about this business of giving rat poison for blood thinners (coumadin)? When vitamin E ALSO thins the blood? Then there is the little "problem" of the statin drugs to lower cholesterol... first, heart attacks happen in people with ALL levels of cholesterol (and the Lipitor ad states that Lipitor has NOT been shown to prevent heart disease) and then, the cholesterol levels are much more efficiently (AND SAFELY) lowered by taking flax seed oil or fish oil. We have a whole list of dangerous medications like Celebrex, Vioxx etc. which are freely given to patients with no regard for any type of informed consent. This is not even mentioning the 100's of unnecessary surgeries taking place and then, we wonder why when docs go on strike, the death rate goes down? Dr Mercola, you are very couragous to speak out - I think your website helps thousands of people a lot! thanks!

I had a surgical biopsy in 2005 because of a calcification on my mammogram. I was swollen and black and blue for a month. i could not do my job for a month, but was told to go back to work the next day and lift 70lbs. I still have problems with pain, pulling and no feeling in part of my breast. The surgeon took out a third of my breast and I had thought that I was only having a pea size taken out. The doctors scared me then and I was in such anxiety I thought it would be good to know I had cancer (even though I was not going to do chemo or radiation), the surgeon made the biopsy sound so easy and of course for him it was. I had reactions to the anesthesia and my hand swelled from the iv. In other words nothing was wrong with me until I went in the hospital for this. Well I have not had a mammogram since this happened. I thought it would be a good idea to know if I had cancer and that I was dyeing what a mistake that was. I am now trying to take control of my own health. I may not do things in conventional medicine but I am listening to myself and I am going to try and do what is right for me. I will die someday but I will not know by a mammogram that is for sure. Over 80 percent of biopsy are negative. What kind of crap shoot is that. Also everyone I know that has had Breast cancer has all kinds of problems with quality of life. We are all individual and we need to choose for ourselves. God bless until next time.

Great article!! My mother was diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer which spread to all of her bones last January and they were telling us that she wouldn't make it, but she should still get on chemo & radiation.
We did all of our own research on alternative medicine and found a homeopathic doctor to help out.
After juicing greens, liquid herbs, all organic food, and tons of supplimenting every day.....she has now gone from a tumor marker of 369 to 61 last week!! It's sooooo amazing how much better she looks and feels. It is one of the things I teach my patients at every wellness class. and btw this is happening all over the civilized world that believes their health is dependent on one or MORE pharmaceuticals.....chalk it up to the great marketing by the pharm. companies who promise you abundant health in a bottle.....

My daughter is 12 and has never been to a medical dr. or taken antibiotics or tylenol. Me, my husband and my 22 year old have not needed a doctor for 12 years (since we adapted this new lifestyle) We trust in the Lord, go to the chiropractor, eat all organic, take glyconutrients, make sure our words are words of faith, keep our thoughts positive, soak up the sun, forgive everyone, and STAY AWAY FROM DOCTORS.

People look at conventional doctors like God. They think popping pills is the answer. If I told someone mammograms causes cancer, they would look at me like I am nuts. Conventional doctors need to be taught in medical school about alternative medicine. Perhaps send them to China for a couple of years to study. As long as we have quacks for doctors in this country, we will continue to see people dying from their care. Most people don't know any better or they rather pop pills then change their eating habits. People rely on their conventional doctors for health advice so the cycle continues....

but I am missing the ultimate truth. The German New Medicine (GNM) would explain most of the remaining questions. You are very brave fighting against all kind of deception in nutrition and medicine. Obviously your courageousness won’t last to discuss the real big deception. And I understand you and I am not surprised when you block this post.

My sister-in-law looked perky but had a slight cough at my son's wedding. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and began radiation therapy and then chemo. I went to see her with some alternative therapies but she was already a broken woman on oxygen. She died 6 weeks after the wedding. I am currently in a battle with my doctor over Lipitor. My HDL plummeted from 66 to 42 and I substituted extra fish oil. This week he ordered me to double my intake to 80mg daily, not knowing I had taken a total of only 30 40mg tablets over 7 months. I also take a lot of Vit C. My cod liver oil capsules protect my bronchial mucus membranes and prevent chest coughs from developing.
