I have been in a few very stressful situations where I cried a lot that day and both times my baby did not digest my breastmilk well and spit up a lot. It came out curdled. I wonder if my stress didn't turn my breastmilk acidic in the same way stress makes your whole system acidic. I have to start laughing more. I have so many reasons to!

re: Laughter Makes Breast Milk Healthier

I recently got to see how affective laughing really can be, or should I say, making someone laugh. When I was a kid my parents and sisters always goofed around and we would all tickle each other, a lot. I am now in my twenties and that doesn't happen very often anymore. My older sister just got married a couple months ago, about a week before the wedding her and my mom got into a huge fight and were being very mean to each other. I was kind enough to have volunteered to come a week early to help Mom and Sis out, it's a good thing I did. Well, they continued to argue until about two days before the wedding, with my mom totally bailing out on all of us, she decided to not come and not help pick people up, etc and so on. So right as I got home that night, I had a talk with her, she was very upset and pretty determined to not come. Well she was sleepy, so I let her go to bed; a few minutes later I realized she was still up reading her book, so my other sister and little brother and I snuck up on her and tickle attacked her. It was the most beautiful transformation!! She went from being nearly in tears to laughing and giggling like a little kid! It was awesome! She went to bed smiling instead of depressed. The next morning when I got up she informed me it was time to sit down and have a 'real' conversation with my sister. And they did, and she came to the wedding and was the life of the party (after my sister of course):D Isn't it amazing what a little laughter can do?

re: Laughter Makes Breast Milk Healthier

Yes. I can definitely go along with that.
Is there a good on-line source of DVDs, videos, etc. that make you laugh ? I am new to the internet.
Information would be appreciated. Thank you.
If not, would Dr M. be interested in setting up a site called: Laughter for Good Health ( or something like that) ?

re: Laughter Makes Breast Milk Healthier

I think anything the mother does on the holistic side of life will make breast milk healthier. That comes down to evening thingkin positively. Babies are products of their environment right down to the food they eat, what their parents think, feel and do. The more society realizes that they are not only here to live, life will begin to be celebrated again.

re: Laughter Makes Breast Milk Healthier

Laughing before breastfeeding may be a good idea, but I can tell you from experience that eating pepperoni is not. ^_^

re: Laughter Makes Breast Milk Healthier

How about laughing at the formula as you walk by it on the shelf in the store because you are not giving in to their conspiracy to feed you and your baby crap!

re: Laughter Makes Breast Milk Healthier

Hey, what if we could make a cow laugh?
