I wanted to share my experience with a real quack dentist in my hometown. He took xrays of my teeth and told me the grim news, "You have pulp stones." My (former) dentist told me these pulp stones are going to grow and cause such pain that he recommended doing 'preventative' root canals on several of my teeth!! Needless to say, I told him "Adios!" My new dentist was dumbfounded when I told him that story. There are good, honest, dentists, and there are others who are greedy liars that need a new BMW.
Just my humble opinion. ; )

re: What Are Your Options If You Need a Tooth Extracted?

I had similar problems, but unfortunely I choice to put implants, my questions is, now I received a feeling of sleepyness (numb)on my right side of my entire body from my brain to my foot on the right side. it last about 15 seconds, I first feel like my jaw wants to move forward and then my right side goes numb is this a cause from my implants, I had 6 implants and 30,000.00. eight months later I have this numbness , no one can tell me why.

A titanium dental implant is usually made out of an alloy of this metal along with several other metals blended together. The most common alloy used has a ratio of 90 parts titanium, 6 parts aluminum and 4 parts vanadium

titanium implants are putting metal and a high milliamperage close to the brain. i have seen a woman who measured nearly 400 milliamps positive charge, and 30 neg charge who had three in her mouth; she paid $9,000 for them. the dr said she could have ran a stereo off her teeth. we removed them. our body runs on electrical impulses, so this can disrupt them (and brain waves). also, dentists and drs will tell you that bone grows to titanium implants. well, it will grow around it. but, it is a foreign object and the body will build up antibodies to it. over time, it will pull away from the bone and can become loose. if you will notice, they say implants last about 15 years or so. they are working on an implant made of diamond, supposed to be available in 5 yrs. but, it will still be a foreign object and pull away from the bone. Zirconium dioxide implants are supposed to be the wave of the future. They are still putting a foreign body into the jaw and the immune system will launch an immune response.

re: What Are Your Options If You Need a Tooth Extracted?

PLEASE HELP ME ON MY PATH BACK TO MY LIFE
Dr Mercola makes so much sense. His info seems to come from a pure heart. a heart concerned with People/Planet/Creatures. I am a little put off by all the products for sale on this site, only because they are priced out of my reach. As seems to be everything that is better to consume. Very difficult for lower middle class people to afford wholesome food and quality health products. My health is in a downward spiral. Contributing to this is a mouth full of amalgams. The knowledge came to late. I suffered with severe constipation from 18 on and still do. Mercury???Now I have the cost dilemma for safe removal. Also my fear of ovarian cancer led me to allow my body/temple to be invaded by my most distrusted source (the medical surgeon) I have been forever altered by complete hysterectomy. I was immediately prescribed my most feared substance (synthetic hormone replacement). Nightmarish 3 day headaches followed for 3 years. Another INCOMPETENT Dr. advised just stop taking the hormones cold turkey...I knew better innately but listened anyway. Within a week I was in total collapse & .tests showed autoimmune antibodies attacking my thyroid and rheumatoid arthritis. I can only assume that this was all building in my poisoned body and the surgery was the last straw. I am very confused about detoxing. I wonder if anyone has any other suggestions than DMTP IV chelation? I have heard about Metal -X a peat fiber that bonds with the mercury. I am afraid since I am constipated I will not beable to get the mercury out. The mercury has my liver gallbladder kidneys and colon barely functioning now. How would you proceed? Any suggestions/ support. I am at a crisis point and my brain can't stand to think on this anymore. IMy gums were receeding and I have bone loss (though no bleeding and no bad breath). They told me that I needed a deep cleaning and they wanted to use Arestin in 12 pockets. I researched the Arestin and found out that not only was it "not" any more affective than alternatives, the mark-up was outrageous. I couldn't afford it. I did succumb to their pressure and let them place it in 4 spots that they deemed the worst--10 or 12 mm (I can't remember exactly). Most of the pockets were around 7mm

I had the deep cleaning. At home, I flossed, brushed after meals. I used Uncle Harry's tooth powder and Tooth and Gum elixer. I also used a water pic after meals and starting drinking green or white tea regularly. I would swish the tea around before swallowing.

When I returned a few weeks later, all of my pockets were 2mm, ALL OF THEM even the ones where they placed Arestin, even the ones that they said needed Arestin.

I think the main part of my success was the amount of effort I put into keeping my mouth extremely clean. Maybe it was a little over-kill, but it worked for me, so I believe that it can work for others.

re: What Are Your Options If You Need a Tooth Extracted?

I too have several amalgam fillings that I am gradually replacing with ceramic, very expensive and that is why I am doing it gradually. My oral hygeine was not good up to about ten years ago when I was introduced to a company called Neways. I now brush everyday with their toothpaste and rinse and gargle with three drops of tea tree oil in warm water. At my last dental visit my dentist was astounded that a cavity that he was concerned with had dissapeared, he wouldn't believe my solution because I am the idiot who is spending heaps on replacing perfectly good (amalgam) fillings with very expensive ceramic ones. Unfortunately we don't have a great choice of dentists here in rural Australia and he is the best technician around. Unfortunately I have two root canal fillings. Does anyone have a "solution" for them or do I just have to live with them and hope they haven't done any of the damage featured in previous submissions

re: What Are Your Options If You Need a Tooth Extracted?

Comment deleted due to inappropriate content.

re: What Are Your Options If You Need a Tooth Extracted?

Here is a practical, holistic solution to dental, gum and general health
conditions, the only known way to tighten loose teeth
www.oilpulling.com Make sure you also read the FAQ there

re: What Are Your Options If You Need a Tooth Extracted?

I went to a dentist 3 years ago because a tooth was hurting and sensitive to hot and cold.So he did a root canal. The pain never went away. I went back a few months later and his brother got really weird with me. He said, "it's perfect!". He ended up giving me a prescription for an antibiotic which did nothing. I went back 2 years later and he said that one of the canals was slightly infected and did it over. He put a crown on it and charged a bundle...again. It's worse after 3 years, and I don't know what to do. They will do this every visit until you feel so scummy and fearful you give in. They then recommend expensive laser treatment and other "deep cleanings" and many frequent appointments. Frequent appointments is key to maximize profit. This bacteria has been there for a long time and if you take care of yourself it may never get worse. If you are rich, buy all means go for it, but if you don't have much money, keep your money and deal with bacteria yourself. Like doctors they will use every scare tactic in the book to "extract" your money. They did this to me. My teeth don't bleed and bacteria are under control. I am too poor to go for all this stuff even if it would help.
