I wash EVERYTHING I bring home before I use it.

The other thing is Olive oil instead of candles. you can get small lamps to put on top of a candlestick and wicks. (I got mine in a judaica shop). you put water in the jar and float a small amount of oil on top. you can even color the water and I'd guess scent the oil with any natural oil that isn't irritating to you. The effect of lighting several of these lamps is just gorgeous since the oil imparts a lovely soft glow that you just don't get from burning petroleum.

re: Teflon Chemical May Cause Allergies

Yep threw away teflon pans a few years ago. I cook with the glass - Visionware glass cookware - I buy it on ebay. I also cook my vegetables and reheat foods in a glass baking dish in my small convection/toaster oven.

re: Teflon Chemical May Cause Allergies

I found the comment by the DuPont representative interesting. Basically it was denial in its ultimate form. When presented with the evidence still states that it is not their products fault. And we don't know how it gets into everybody's blood system.

Mary

re: Teflon Chemical May Cause Allergies

And of course PFOA contains that wonderful enzyme poison; bone, tooth and skin corroder...
