Is there a real "best answer" to this question? What I would hope that I could do would be to face the shark so that I could see what it was doing, take the paddle in both hands like a spear, and if the shark attacked, try to ram the paddle as far down into the shark's mouth as possible. If that didn't accomplish anything, well, I guess I was a goner anyway.
