They put out the most wonderful studies that would receive little to no attention, and they continue to expand their database as they learn more.

I could never get anyone to believe me before that most so-called sunscreens are more harmful than the sun! Now I have a physical study I can print out and show to people!!!

I have never been afraid of the sun and the only time I have ever severely burned is once when I fell asleep on a full sun day at the Jersey shore and no one bothered to wake me up for more than 4 hours; I don't fall asleep in the sun anymore!!!!

re: Over 80% of Sunscreens Ineffective and Dangerous

when i was a kid i ran around in the sunshine without sunscreen and did not have any problems. as a young adult i was told it was bad to go out without sunscreen because of skin cancer.. so for years i used one and every time i spent more then a few minutes in the sun with sunscreen on i would break out in a rash..so i just thought i was allergic to the sun! UNTIL i started going to dr. mercolas site a couple of years ago and got the best health info i have ever gotten..i now spend about an hour a day ( if i can ) in natures sun without any sunscreen at all..i do not have a rash and i do not burn. i have a light tan and am assured i get some vit. That's surprising how many sunscreens don't work or contain dangerous ingredients. And that's not even questioning the value or harm of sunscreen... Just the effectiveness of what's out there.

I generally slather on coconut oil after I've been exposed to sun. This is supposed to help with the wrinkled prune look that too much sun may cause.

re: 83 Percent of Sunscreens Dangerous or Ineffective

The cosmetics business and industry is overwhelmingly filled with products and brands that are harmful and full of toxins and false and deceptive labeling to confuse.

re: 83 Percent of Sunscreens Dangerous or Ineffective

After getting an appropriate amount of sunshine the best sunscreen is a shirt and an umbrella .
