Even though I have not eaten McYuk for about 30 years ( I didnt like the taste) that advertisement would not helped change that. If I want to buy a hamburger give me one from a "greasey-spoon" any day. I do cook them at home now and then.
The clown Ronald has helped to condition kids the world over to answer "What (or where) do you want to eat?" and my asnwer to that is not to ask just take them to somewhere I know that is a bit healthier. If they dont like what is served they go hungry. It only took a couple of missed meals for them to learn.

Really took me back when the food was great. It has been about 20 years since I ate at McDonalds, and glad of it. Wasn't the same. Tasted funny. I guess they were serving rat.

Note the comment about "milk shakes" in the commercial, back in the 60's when the McD's product really had dairy in it, the burgers were "100% pure beef" and the fries were sliced in front of you from real potatoes.

Read Ray Kroc's GRINDING IT OUT if you want more insights into what the franchising business was back then, versus the chemistry and junk food offered on most fast/junk menu's now.
