I found this article to be lacking in some basic empirical information. It has more people dying who were in the placebo group than those that took Vioxx after the drug was withdrawn from the market. Even though it said it was not statistically significant. I am sure the families of anybody who died would not think that.

I found this article to be incomplete, lack of real informative facts. I do agree with this piece and cannot for the life of me, wonder about much to much research and not enough action.

No more prescription drugs. Mother knows best.

I can draw a meaningful conclusion from vioxx. The doctor put my wife on it and then the doctor kept sending her for test to see why she was having all of those chest pains--nothing was ever found wrong with her heart. This went on all summer a few years ago. But then, when she went off of it, the doctor said, well, it seems your heart trouble has mysterly dissapeared. Never giving the thought as to why.

No doubt, if they cannot use it for one thing, they will find another such as stopping or preventing another ailment, and they will get the OK to use it as they always do--from you know who. (my buddies down at the fda)
