Best of all I use natural remedies. As for Diabetes, I would try cinnamon, tea made from hand-harvested mulberry leafs (morus alba) and Dandelion peduncles. I heard also about Fenugreek and Salacia oblonga.

The FDA did this because Avandia is the NUMBER ONE selling diabetes drug. In a few years, after the lawsuits start, GSK will take it off the market. I used to be totally against these kinds of lawsuits but after recently entering the world of natural food and natural healing, I've changed my mind. Because of the FDAs action even more will die, but eventually, more will live because GSK will lose millions in lawsuits (I pray). What would big pharm do if word got out that Type 2 DM really can be reversed? There should be no treatment on the market for DM except insulin. When you get right down to it, which would an educated consumer prefer....DYING from the side effects of a pill or the convenience of popping a pill?

I find it very interesting that there is a contradition here - re-read the article and you will catch it. Please let me know if I am wrong here!

"GlaxoSmithKline told the committee that it did not believe that Avandia increases the risks of heart attacks “and we still don’t,” said Christopher A. Viehbacher, president of the company’s American drug business, after the meeting ended. "

Later it reads....."In the revelations since then, F.D.A. officials have said that GlaxoSmithKline told the agency about these risks nearly two years ago, but that because of fierce internal disagreements, the agency never warned patients about them. In Europe, regulators required that the drug’s label reflect some concerns about these risks."

So, is this reporting error or the FDA or GSK?? Not only that I find it absolute neglect for paitents to not be informed of the possible risks.

Any new drug should not be taken! We have been programmed to believe that if the reaction is not immediate, it's not related. How sad....we have all these people who are very sick......and no one is taking responsibility where they should.

Something else many people don't realize....drugs are not tested long before they hit the marked when they used to be. Remember when drugs were tested for years and years then sold to the doctors, not the public? Oh, the days of old.....
