In your body, both fish oil and vegetable oil are converted into chemicals called prostanoids

re: More Fish Oil, Less Vegetable Oil, Better for Your Health

I agree with much of the article, but I finally have to go
on record as being against omega-3 supplementation. ALL polyunsaturates are hazardous to health,
longevity, and well-being. They are too damaging
to human (and animal) tissue. Whether
omega-3 or omega-6, it matters little. Both
negatively alter hormone balance, suppress thyroid, lower immunity, increase
weight, and cause massive free radical damage. It's madness to go out of the way to find and
consume refined fish oil of any kind.

Omega-3 supplementation is counter to good health. I know this is in opposition with what Dr. Mercola believes,
and probably most of this forum, but there it is. If an oil becomes sticky at 98.6 degrees in
the presence of oxygen, it becomes sticky in your body, with the attendant ill-effects

The designation of “essential” fatty acids is a
misnomer. They body will synthesize the
exact amounts and types of polyunsaturates that it needs, if any, providing there
is enough quality dietary saturated fat.
Note that most commercial animal fat is increasingly polyunsaturated due
to being fed nothing but corn and soy.
The best sources of fat for human consumption are coconut oil, grass-fed
butter (whether it’s pasteurized or not matters not, as it’s mostly fat), and extra virgin olive oil.

Sorry if this ruffles anyone's feathers.
And these are just a few.

I honestly believe the drug companies know to put positive charged chemicals in their drugs to deliberatly change our natural negative charge into a positive one so we will swell at the joints, ache all over, not be able to utalize oxygen properly, have to run back for more painkillers, and many more negative side effects.

To break it down, keeping our cells from being able to do their job of picking up and disposing of the metabolic waste buildup because they are now running through our bodies trying to find their missing electron (that the drugs and processed foods and certain cooking oils have stolen and turned them into free radicals themselves, now positive) form our other cells so they can get back to a negative charge (eight electrons per cell), thus, causing a chain reaction of (like pouring gas on a fire) other cells to follow suit, thus causing severe swelling, inflamed joints and many, many other ailments.

Krill and many other highly anti toxin foods carry a negative charge that will help feed free radicals--one of the main reasons for joint inflmation in the first place, along with a 100% processed food diet. Anti toxins=free electrons=less free radicals=less joint inflamation.

Whew; hope I didn't confuse anyone.

re: More Fish Oil, Less Vegetable Oil Better for Your Health

Fractionation, centrifuging, chemical refining, catalyst and high pressure and heat filtration, enzymatic purification, partial and/or whole hydrogenation, gmo, gas flushing, acrylamide (massive carcinogen at low dosage levels) producing under heat , pesticide or stabilizer laden, DOMESTIC FATS & OILS, like cotton, soy, corn, sunflower, rapeseed/canola, peanut, margarines, fake spreads, equal premature actuarial DEATH.

The more Omega 3's, from tropical and good for you products like coconut, palm, olive, raw butter, etc. (the body can recognize for safe metabolic utilization) the longer optimum health for you and me!

re: More Fish Oil, Less Vegetable Oil Better for Your Health

Why don't they just say eat less vegetable oil.

Mary

re: More Fish Oil, Less Vegetable Oil Better for Your Health

Vioxx, Celebrex and Mobic are primarily marketed as a Cox-2 inhibitors to Orthopedic Surgeons and Sports Medicine practitioners for those patients needing to control inflammation in a chronic diseased state, osteoarthritis and joint degenerative conditions. And from the looks of this article, Omega-3 supplements (krill or fish oil) may not be that significant of an anti-inflammatory because it only effects the Cox-1 enzyme significantly. We need to find the natural remedy that is proven to show it effects both the Cox-1 and Cox-2 enzyme. Maybe they need to look specifically at krill oil and not just fish oil.

Anyone with personal, yet proven to be effective anti-inflammatory remedies?

re: More Fish Oil, Less Vegetable Oil Better for Your Health

And they're using this information to develop new drugs, instead of just recommending that people consume fish oil instead of vegetable oil?!?!?
