i wouldnt read this paper if it were compelety free let alone pay for it!
the times has only itself to blame for losing money.

I knew this would not last at the NY Pravda, simply because the feed of information the Times was trying to charge for, was mostly already available for FREE somewhere else.

The former 'Gray Lady' better get her act together, as her stock that was $59 bucks about a year ago, is down in the $20's.

WHY?

The dissemination of information is changing, if not changed, and another reason why major advertising and readership of newspapers, even if on line, is WAY down, just like network TV is, while forum's like GOOGLE trade in high triple digit costs per share.

The ownership of the Wall Street Journal saw the handwriting on the 'wall'' and sold out to Rupert Murdock (who'll try to recover his money on this purchase mostly in Asia).

It did not help the NY Times has also been hit with a series of major retractions, or false reporting(s), in the past few years, as well as recently being linked and law suit filed against them, in very biased 'electioneering'.
