When my first son was little, he was in the doctor's office monthly for anti-biotics for bronchitis. This went on for 5 years. I didn't know what else to do. My mother finally asked me if he had allergies. I repeatedly asked the doctor. He said allergies didn't cause a fever. Another mother told me,"Oh yes they do if the dripping inflames the bronchials!" I put him on an anti-hystamine, and that was the last bronchitis he ever had. He eventually outgrew the allergy, and we had to detox him of Candida as well as build his immune system back up. Now, years later, I have a holistic nutrition degree, and know other remedies that work much better, but at the time, I only knew what the MD's told me. Isn't it said somewhere, "My people perish for lack fo knowledge"?!

Now if only they would make this information available - no BLARE this information, to the general public & apply it to all medications, people might start to "get it."

My Grandfather was a medical doctor in rural Colorado for 49 years. He prescribed glass, delivered babies, pulled teeth and made house calls in the horse and buggy. He had two doctor's bags. One with his diagnostic tools, and one filled with pills. When he didn't know what to give, which was often, he had various shapes, sizes and colors of sugar pills. The little red ones were the most powerful placebo he had. First rule for a physician--do no harm has been forgotten, I'm afraid.

I am a bit ashamed to admit this, but when my little girl was young, and the very few times she got sick, I would give her these items thinking that it would cure the illness, not just mask the symptoms. Of course, now I know better.
I wonder how many other mothers also are guilty of this?

Kinda scary to think that if they were taken off the supermarket shelf, there would be a corresponding rise of ER visits to get some medication for a runny nose and sore throat.

"The medicines are popular largely because children have an average of 6 to 10 colds each year." WHAT??? My 3 children have not had a cold at least in over a year! Probably combined have not had more than 10 in their whole lives and they are 13, 10 and 2!
