I have seen two of the premier experts and best selling authors Jan Roberts and Francesca Naish who through a program of nutrition, exercise, removing environmental factors such as EMR, toxins etc plus vaccination information and knowledge have an 85% success rate for natural conception. This is a program which is over 20 years old and also has a miscarriage rate of 3.5% versus 20-25% and 0.49% birth defects versus the standard 6%... the list goes on.

If you want more info on a program like this they have a blog

http://betterbabies.blogspot.com/

Dr Mercola I think these would be some great ladies to interveiw and if you ever get a chance with EMR and cell phones I bought the ear peice but do you know of something that you can attach to the phone that disapates the EMR? I have seen lots of this things you stick to the phone but don't know if any of them work?

re: Diet and Lifestyle Changes Prevent Infertility

No, no surprise to me NOW. I've learned so much in the past 2 years. It has been just over 2 years since i miscarried my only pregnancy. I was trying to be "healthier" without a good concept of what that was. I did acupuncture, & was eating healthier in general. But i still was eating fast food, only trying to make "healthier" choices by eating salads, etc. I was still drinking soda. A lot of things that i've changed since.

But i think it would be a surprise to the general public. The idea of eating non-processed food, & many other things often doesn't occur to people who were raised in the fast-food generation. They may have the idea that "fast food is not healthy," but i'm not sure if they realize that frozen, microwavable dinners are the equivalent. Many MDs don't help as they indicate that "food is food." Knowing what i know now, the majority of things i was eating 2 years ago probably still had a high content of GM/GE.

What seems like common sense to me now was totally foreign 5 years ago, & only just glimpsed 2 years ago. Maybe i'm slow, or rather stupid, but i'm afraid i'm indicative of the general population. I'm not sure i'd be here now, had i not been seriously trying to be healthier in order to get pregnant & beyond, raise healthy children.

re: Diet and Lifestyle Changes Prevent Infertility

The article said: The women with the highest fertility diet... surprisingly, consumed more high-fat dairy products and less low-fat dairy products.

People haven't figured out yet that dairy products like sour cream have fat in them, and that buying low-fat sour cream means the manufacturer includes a bunch of fake stuff in order to make it look like the real stuff.

Hmm... Semi-processed whole food, or really processed no food?

re: Diet and Lifestyle Changes Prevent Infertility

Well is this a surprise to anyone here? Diet and lifestyle play an important role in health, and you need some fats in your diet. The best type are those that occur naturally.

Mary

re: Diet and Lifestyle Changes Prevent Infertility

Wow!...what a surprise! Another case of stating the obvious, to most of us here i think?!
The more we help people to realise the absolute cruciality of diet and life style choice in relation to ALL aspects of their health and well being, the better.
