I'll add a little more here since Mercola readers clearly have something to gain by supporting this man: if you truly want the government out of what you do and don't do with your bodies; if you truly want to decide for yourself what supplements you should take and want the FDA to butt out, then Paul is your man.

Paul . . . feels strongly that the federal government, in most cases, shouldn't be telling Americans what they can and cannot put into their bodies...

"If we accept this notion that the federal government is going to dictate what we can put into our bodies, then it leads to the next step: that the government is going to regulate everything that is supposedly good for us. That's where they are. They have an FDA that want[s] complete control over vitamins and nutritional products and I just think the whole principal of government telling us what we can take in or not take in is just a dangerous position to take... it's related to the drug industry because they'd like to control all of this."

When's the last time you heard a straight-shooting politician like THAT?

I hope there are still some people reading this thread who're against Ron Paul due to this absurd idea that Paul is a racist. This latest round of attack came from The New Republic. The source for the information has now been outted and it's none other than a man named Bill White, a white supremacist and self-appointed Fuehrer of the US Nazi party. He hates Ron Paul and wants to ruin him because he believes Paul's campaign is infiltrated by Jews. Incidentally, zionists hate him because they believe he's anti-semitic because he wants to cut foreign aid to Israel (and incidentally, to everyone else).

Actually, I only posted this once--weird. It must be a conspiracy! (Seriously.) Why is it a crime not to like Ron Paul? And...may I point out, I did not call him any names in this particular posting, I just referred to the people who followed him (not him) as cultists. All I was saying is I just don't get why his supporters think the other candidates should be afraid of him, because it is not like he is winning any of the primaries (yes, he won second in Nevada, but it was a caucus, not a primary). He is down there in the polls with Fred Thompson.

I'm still trying to figure out why Ron Paul cultists keep saying his opponents should be scared of him--he isn't even competition. It's really between Clinton and Obama, and McCain (and probably) Romney instead of Giuliani.

The drug laws should be declared unconstitutional, if they are not they can be used to take away herbal supplements, and have been at times.

Ron Paul's strong assertions about the destructive effects and influence of our present "drug laws" is right on the mark. ... In my opinion there is so much corruption and destructive deception behind the so called 'war on drugs' in the states and around the world, that it is awesome to comprehend.

Smear tactics and character assassination by the major Republican and Democratic candidates, that are not true, of their party opponents, particularly if salient and cogent like Dr. Paul, typically conducted by so called "third party independent operatives", so they can claim "plausible deniably", are STANDARD in US Presidential politics, when the so-called main stream politicians are SCARED.

The Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Guiliani, Romney, McCain & Thompson campaign have ALL been caught doing it, one way or another.

The only honest (and HEALTHY) vote in the 2008 US Presidential Election REMAINS Dr. Ron Paul.
