I used to love that song.
I live in Japan and I can say for certain that neither the Japanese nor the Chinese have forgotten the past. The Japanese still exploit the Chinese by paying just over minimum Chinese wage for those working in Japan but waaaaay under that of Japan. Can you blame the Chinese for being bitter? And as the Japanese nationalist movement is becoming more mainstream I wouldn`t be surprised at this being another one of their moves to blacken the image of foreigners.
Who`s to blame? I don`t know but it`s ordinary people that suffer.

re: Were Chinese Dumplings Deliberately Poisoned?

I wouldn't trust products from china if my life depended on it, o wait, it does!

re: Were Chinese Dumplings Deliberately Poisoned?

As one of my teachers said Trust, but Verify. People can make mistakes, and they can lie, sometimes it depends upon your point of view.

Mary

re: Were Chinese Dumplings Deliberately Poisoned?

Article states:

"I call on the Japanese media to trust the governments of both countries and to aim for objective reporting," said Li Chunfeng, vice director of China's Import and Export Food Safety Bureau."

TRUST? yeah right. I am a few thousand miles away from Japan, but it doesn't past the smell test that Japanese activists would have to purposely poison dumplings. The Chinese are known to do plenty of poisoning on their own without help from Japanese activists.

They should trust their government as we can trust ours to protect us?
