Ahem....they're not talking about the personal cosmetics one applies directly to the skin, they're talking about pesticides used environmentally for no other reason than to make an area more cosmetically appealing, i.e., bug-free golf courses.

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of awareness regarding how easy it is for the body to absorb anything applied to the skin. A lot of people think (or don't think about it) that they're putting on makeup and washing it off later. I've always thought that the people who are "sensitive" and have reactions to unclean skin care products are the lucky ones, because their body tells them right away to stay away from this crap.

Though far from being perfect this is very welcome news for me and good on Premier Mcguinty......

Big bucks to be made here, so watch the "wolves" employ their deceptive marketing strategies and go after the supposed "GREEN LABEL" products....Buyer beware !!!!!!!!!!

"because the products under review have been approved for use by the federal government." Since when did being approved by any government make something safe? What has been approved is the enormous profit margin from the sale of chemicals!!

There are more chemicals in cosmetics than just pesticides that present a danger. It is far safer to avoid cosmetics altogether.

It sounds like a good idea, but there are going to be several loopholes in it. Nice starting place though.
