People who customize their cars with stickers and other adornments, no matter what they are, tend to be more prone to road rage than other people. This seems to be one of those silly studies( and probably expensive) that really don't tell us anything useful. I am continually surprised by the variety of aggressive drivers--from the mean, just out of prison, looking type that you might expect to sweet looking little old ladies in nice cars ! And with gas prices so high how are so many people still affording to drive so aggressively? It is so silly when I take my foot off the gas and coast to a stoplight and I am passed my some angry person blowing on their horn who ends up sitting at the light. Maybe there are too many people on mind altering drugs (inc food additives) that are effecting their mood?

re: How Do You Know Someone is at Risk for Road Rage?

The cars I stay far away from are those with "Holy roller" stuff all over. Invariably, cars that tout, "I'm a Christian! or Praise the Lord" seem to think that since they are pious, that they can get away with driving like they want to murder everyone.

That's is just from my experience.

re: How Do You Know Someone is at Risk for Road Rage?

This post was deleted because it violated our Terms Of Use :
Abuse, harass, humiliate, deceive, threaten, impersonate, intimidate or engage in any other abusive behaviors with those who comment on Mercola.com.

re: How Do You Know Someone is at Risk for Road Rage?

OK, I am here to say that I have bumper stickers on my vehicle. The reason I have them, admittedly, is pride! Pride in the fact that "my son is a Marine," another son is in the Army, I'm proud of my favorite sports team... you get the idea. To say that this is an indicator I would be likely to exhibit road rage is outlandish!!
Come on people, haven't you ever been the victim of a person with road rage who had ZERO bumper stickers? I certainly have. That's just the thing about road rage, it can come from unsuspecting people.

re: How You Know Someone Is At Risk for Road Rage

This article makes excessive car decor sound like a childish bid for attention - so it's not surprising they throw temper tantrums on the road.

re: How You Know Someone Is At Risk for Road Rage

How many more cars are on the road now? I'm guessing the numbers don't look as "increased" when that's taken into account. I'm sure the incidences of road rage increase exponentially with increased traffic density as well.

People who personalize their car like that do so partially to be confrontational as it is so this study makes sense.
