This study comes from the Atkins Foundation and it`s valid even for other ketogenic diets like Lchf. Very convincing results who are supported by similar findings when testing Lchf for three years. But I don`t agree when they say that it`s only for sick people. Why should you first be sick in diabetes, obesity ...before then beeing treated to health? Stay healthy instead with a healthy diet. Mind that most conventionally eating people are more or less sick of the metabole syndrome long time before they get ailments. It`s about this metabole syndrome we should concern. It`s like a fungus mycelium developing in the long run one or more of the following:heartdesease,overweight,stroke,diabetes2,enlarged prostata and many more.Change lifestyle and food and you will need very little healthcare in the future. It may be a little difficult socially, beeing an outsider but it will be worth it.

re: Low-Carb Diets Are Better at Controlling Diabetes

Who Did The Research?

Harvard? Mayo? Stanford?

This sounds promising but one of the biggest challenges in life is to be believed. Especially in print/pixel.

This article also doesn't lend any specificity to the diet these people went on. It's a tease. No proof and no resources to use.

One guy I know has done research and achieved amazing results in this area is an independent PHD named Dr. Robert Young.

Tony Robbins stumbled upon this man's research and product and made this man world famous by telling the world about him. As anyone who pays attention to the tabloids knows, the journalists who'd love to bring Tony to his knees have yet to be able to.

This is part of why I lend credibility to his opinion. Another part would be that I've used his product and seen it in action. And the last would be that his approach makes common sense to me.

He wrote a book called "The PH Miracle For Diabetes".

Google this guy if you, or anyone you know is battling diabetes. This just might be what you need.

Note Taking Nerd #2
http://www.mynotetakingnerd.wordpress.com

re: Low-Carb Diets Are Better at Controlling Diabetes

I'm sure there will be those who say that this study is biased because it was funded by the Atkins Foundation. But it makes sound physiological sense to me. The results really aren't too surprising to us "Mercolites."
