I used to laugh at Luci Lock's kitchen videos: really, who didn't know how to make eggnog or a simple soup stock! Now I know better - there's a whole generation who never learned how to cook, and this is simply incomprehensible to me!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a lass, I sat down at the table with family at least twice a day. When I had a family of my own, we did the same. My children continue the tradition. We converse, which forces us to slow down, which means we feel full sooner - always a plus. I cannot imagine paying someone else money to cook food for me. I think those folks that do are all on the National List of People with Too Much Disposable Income.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Come to think of it, I once dated a guy whose family was on that list.
