A new study of 6 to 12 year old boys found a significant association between the number of years a boy had been swimming and the likelihood of the child being wheezy

re: Swimming Pool Chlorine Causes Asthma

My daughter was a competitive swimmer in her middle school years and was diagnosed with "exercise induced asthma". Kinda funny to look back at that diagnosis now. Of course it resulted in her using an inhaler and ultimately leaving swimming because of her condition. Hard to believe that it took them so long to figure this out.

Also one can add chlorine as soon as the sun is below the horizon with the pump running and there will be no chlorine testable in the morning. It doesn't take very much and I can't do it because of my sensitivity to chlorine. My hubby had to do it when our ozonator died last year. We run the pump during the day only and it is enough to keep the water clean...usually. Windy days can be a challenge of course.
