I spent many years working with troubled young people from modern American society, and in my opinion, you can measure the health of a society by the psycho-emotional health and well being of it's teenagers. What has and is becoming of so many of our youth is a direct reflection of the lack of soulful wisdom and awareness that has become characteristic of modern society.

If anyone desires to understand the underlying causes of so many of our young people's inclination towards their own death via the likes of gang war, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse or other deviant, at risk behavior, ... one needs to begin to understand the innate need and vital purpose and meaning of a true 'rite of passage'. .... In my opinion, .. it is the absence of this understanding and integral wisdom in modern society that has and is fostering the decline in well being amongst so many of today's youth.

Thank god for those few amongst us who have remembered this vital wisdom and are working in much needed ways to help those youth amongst us who are fortunate enough to be led to such needed vehicles. ....
