Being someone with severe chronic pain, I think this is a good thing, seeing your doctor every three months can save office costs and still allow your doctor enough time with you to check your physical and emotional health. I know there are plenty of people just seeking drugs and that makes it harder on patients and doctors alike and while I know some pain meds are hard on your body, me trying to tell you how bad I hurt is like trying to describe the color blue to a blind person, you just cannot relate.When your quality of life is so bad you would rather just lay in bed and cry, die , or just give up, you should be allowed to choose to use any meds you and your doctor think are appropriate

I do beleive painkillers are definately needed for the terminally ill and certain medical conditions. Sometimes alternative methods do not help with excruciating pain and narcotics are needed.
