When the answer is right in front of us, we are even to lazy to look at it. If you look back in history, there was no such thing as Type 2 or even Diabetes. This is something we have created over time.

I have helped many people to help themselves with holistic nutrition and lifestyle principles. Most americans eat the American C.R.A.P (Caffiene, Refinded/Processed foods, Alchohol/Aspartamte, Pasteurized milk) Diet. This diet mostly consists of sugar, sugar and more sugar. Some say, well I eat healthy carbs, I eat lots of vegies, I drink juiced veggies/fruits and so forth. What does that equate to= SUGAR!

When you continuously eat like this, many things happen. You are making your pancreas work overtime. In the end, it will keep spitting out more insulin secondary to all the sugar stored in the body and flowing within the blood. Overtime when there is no muscle left to store the sugar in, it ends up in the blood. To make a long story short, you end up being insulin resistant and at the same time fat (insulin is the key to unlock to door to store fat). As well, you become hyperinsulemic. Your body does not react to the insulin anymore. This is type 2 DM.

Are drugs the answer? Well yes for lazy Americans that don't want to face that facts that they have created this. The answer is taking resp for one self! Following 5 key principle has worked for all of my clients with Type 2 DM: Eat right, Drink right, Sleep right, Move right and Think right. This includes the right nutritional lifestyle, not a diet. Eating organic foods from mother earth, increasing protein intake, increase quality fat intake and so on. Drink right= the only thing our body was designed to drink is water. Sleep right= get to be by 10pm and get up no earlier than 6am. Move right= doing the right amount of exericse and not overtraining, but at the same time working out with proper body mechanics. Think right= You are what you think, having become what you thought. This as well will decrease the amount of stress on your adrenal glands, taking you out of a sympathetic stressed state. This will lower cortisol and insulin levels, balancing out your hormones as well.

re: Merck's Latest Drug Scam: Treating Diabetes

I think that the doctor who responded to this article is partially right. Most people who go to a doctor to be treated for diabetes are looking for a quick fix. I have found through many years of trying to find answers to my many health problems, that the average person does not have a clue as to what is really in the food that they are consuming, blindly unaware how harmful artificial sweeteners and "low-fat" processed foods are for their bodies. They may have spent years on many different diet plans that are doomed to fail. Dr. Mercola and Dr. Jordan Rubin have given excellent advice in theirs books, newsletters, and blogs. I have overcome ulcer disease, arthritis, divirticulitis, and a whole host of other ailments with their advice. I applaud them and their efforts.
