Please , all of us who are trying to change the world for better must perceive not only the meaning of individual freedom but also the meaning of world freedom.

It's quite true that it's better for us to be doing other things (that don't require us to be face-face with death) than to be fighting on Iraq where many dragons are being bind for the sake of our future.

America has freedom. As you know everyone can express their thoughts and feelings without being killed; everyone can go to school without having a brain-washing; everyone can walk in the street with much more security than those who lived in Saddam regime. So we must take a stand to give other's what we have. The same was true also to Vietnam War.

The culture of closing our eyes and mouths and hears to hear the cry of earth's people is in itself more dangerous for us than the food we take or the economic state of a nation. A spineless nation even with the best health program and economy that can be possible to imagine is destined to fall.

It's better for me not being pointing the finger saying that the war on Iraq is for oil but it's better to think on how we can make Iraq's future better and free the Earth from terror. Personally I don't believe that the reason is oil, but even it was, I ask you: it's oil more important than freedom?

Hey Doc, and everyone else here: the sad news is that the fed govt. is far, far worse than any of you can imagine! How many know about the Bush-Hitler connection? This is documented fact, not conspiracy theory. It's in the Library of Congress and a law to make it illegal to fund the enemy was passed because of the Bush family's ties to Hitler. It was called the "Trading With The Enemy Act". Google for "Bush Hitler".

I used to think the USDA, FDA, EPA, FTC, FCC DOE and all the other executive brach enforcement agencies were dumb/naive. Not anymore. What is being done is done for a reason.

Oh how much I have learned in the last several years and how terrifying it is. Yet I still don't know the depth of the trechery and just how invasive it is. I do know that "Dubya" should be tried for treason, along with most of his "staff".

This is how the government breaks the truth to us, those who they percieve as the 'sheeple'. They wait at least 10 years to admit that we have not been told the whole truth, and then on top of that bury the story in the back of the newspaper on fucking Christmas Day when no one will ever read it. Watch as any serious follow-up to this story will get dropped by the mainstream media just as quietly as this story snuck in.

I recommend you go on google video and search for "David Icke" or go to www.davidicke.com, or go on amazon/ebay/a bookstore and get one of his newest books...if you want to truly understand the extent to all the manipulation we live in.

I realize I'm quite late to this discussion, but I wanted to raise a few points ... this film made me curious, so I decided to do a little research on my own. What I found surprised me.

First, the text of the 16th amendment to the constitution, contrary to what is implied in the film, is quite unambiguous and clear:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

One of the film's main points is that income tax is illegal because it's unapportioned, and that the 16th amendment doesn't allow for this. But, frankly, it allows for just that without a lot of confusion.

However, the film also contended that this amendment was never properly ratified. So, I did some research into that, and found that the arguments against ratification are based almost entirely on minor quibbles - insignificant procedural objections (such as not allowing a three day waiting period for a vote on a bill that had been under consideration for years) or the use of a semicolon instead of a comma. In maybe two states there were serious questions, and the loss of two states would not have prevented ratification. So, I wasn't convinced by that argument.

But the film also spent a good deal of time arguing that there is no law requiring income to be taxed - i.e. that the 16th amendment allows for it, but that there is no law that actually says you have to pay it. With just a few minutes of searching, I found the following:

In Title 26 of the United States Code (the compilation of laws passed by Congress):

Section 1: There is hereby imposed on the taxable income of every individual . . . a tax determined in accordance with the following table:

(Section 1 covers single individuals, and 1a covers married people.)

Section 61 then defines what taxable income is ("gross income minus the deductions allowed") and then section 63 defines gross income ("all income from whatever source derived", including compensation for services, gross income derived from business, interest, rents, and a few other things).

Section 6151 states that if you are required to file a tax return, you must pay the tax owed to the IRS at the time you file your return. Section 6012 identifies who has to file a return, and 6072 identifies when the return must be filed.

So, on the books, there are laws allowing for the tax, imposing the tax, defining who has to pay the tax, and requiring the tax to be paid at a certain time. How on earth can it be argued that these laws don't exist and no one can see them, which is the main point of the first half of the film?

I had no idea that more people are becoming aware of this issue. This is most refreshing and I applaud you for helping to get the word out how we have all been hoodwinked for all these years. It is time to stop bankrolling these people and to stop bankrolling the private retirement funds of all who have been elected to Congress. I saw this movie with several serious Christians this last summer and it definitely confirmed what I already knew. The spirit of fear is on the loose thru our govt. Ten years ago, I wrote the IRS a letter asking them to show me the law requiring me, a non-incorporated, non LLC, blue-collar, self-employed individual, to pay the graduated income tax. They wrote me back saying they did not have to show me anything, but I still needed to file. Yet the Supreme Court ruled in the 1920's that once federal jurisdiction is challenged, it must be proved. I am patiently waiting for them to humble themselves to the Supreme Court and show me.

In these last days, you are either going to be a Goliath, or a scared Israelite, or a David. The Goliaths are obvious--they range from the Governments to the germs. . . from cancers to cops. The scared Israelites are pretty obvious to. They're found in those who scurry off to pop a pill for a pain, who run to the man in the white coat for a "healing", rather than the King in the white robe. They also fear man way more than they fear God; trying to make sure they look good for the pastor/priest but refusing to see how to look good to a holy God But . . . where are the Davids?

If you are going to be a David, you have to know why David was a David. He found intimate pleasure with God to be the supreme need of his soul. The great apostle Paul was the Goliath-slayer of the New Testament. He slayed the Goliaths of fear, disease, demon-control, pain and sickness, by the name and power of Jesus Christ.

See the movie. . . then resign yourself to Christ-lovin' David.

Wow! I had long ago been exposed to some of this information over 10 years ago but life got in the way and I eventually "forgot" a lot of it.

Very recently I discovered the LIBERTY DOLLAR at www.LibertyDollar.org and purchased a few Silver Liberties. They are beautiful silver one-ounce inflation-proof currency. I have been reading some literature that came with the currency and it is some of the same type information that is in Aaron Russo's film! I guess you call that synchronicity.

I saw the movie in LA at the begginning of last summer.

There was very few new elements for me as I was questing the
issue for the past 4 years through what's termed the "Tax Freedom
Movement" which is not very well organized but one individual
(Bob Schultz of We the People foundation at GivemeLiberty.org) is
making waves and soon Washington DC wlll look lika a kork in the ocean
when a Tzunami sweeps it away.

Like with your material, we can only present it to people and as that they
watch it and make up their on minds. The alternative is FOX....and mainstream
propaganda..... uh I mean media.

What is missing in the discussion is some more common sense and perspective, which is lacking in the title. When it says Freedom to Fascism, fascism compared to what? The treachery of communist or most islamic states, the soul numbing bureaucracy of Euro socialism? In my humble opinion we have the best country in the history of face of the earth--find me another that even remotely compares--and this discussion treats America like its some place where you may get hauled off for flicking someone off. Why do you blamce all your problems on "the man" or "the system" or "politicians" and then try to claim you're to pure to do anything about it. We can make a difference in this country but it takes a lot of effort.

I'm glad you're promoting this type of info, it's important to know. But, my problem with most people I know who know this is that they are very short on practical solutions, and often their own lives are pretty sad. They come accross as bizarre (as bizarre as their opponents who want to blame Islam for all the world's troubles). Often they are sick (overweight, crippled by bad habits, etc.) and psychologically unbalanced. Until we get down to teaching people how to apply physical principles in their own lives (i.e. right diet, right exercise, right thinking, how to be totally healthy personally in a corrupt world), we're missing the point. I'm glad your site is giving us both.

Pleased to see you are pushing Aaron Russo's masterpiece. I have watched it 3 times and pick up something new each time. I wish my grandfather was alive to question him on this sad chapter in history. He was a college history major graduating in 1911 and would have had an interesting comment on this successful effort by a very small group of determined men to change the course of wealth in America.

Speaking of history, I have been reading The Hundred Year Lie by Randall Fitzgerald which is a great history lesson on the current health crisis you report on daily created in part by the chemical and big pharma industries. MSG for example was discovered by a Japanese scientist in 1908 working with the sea plant kombu and realizing it had taste enhancing properties. This book would make great copy for you writing team.
