Psoriasis Is definitely an Autoimmune system failure, your body is telling you that's it simply cannot cope with what you are feeding it. I doubt whether l will ever meet a psoriasis sufferer whom isn't a Coeliac (intolerant to gluten). But there can be many other reasons why your immune system is not coping. There's no mystery as to the psoriasis itself Acrylamide (which is created when high temperatures between the amino acid "asparagine" and the sugar glucose especially in foods such as french fries, potato chips, bakery and cereal products), does play a role in psoriasis as do the food addictives (citric). By eliminating these from your diet your psoriasis will clear up. This has been validated time and time again.

By using a tissue plasminogen activator it is possible to analyse the difference in normal and (psoriasis) pathological skin samples. The difference is a high calcium medium is found in pathological skin samples, in normal skin samples very little calcium is found in comparison.

This indeed makes sense as the most common sites of psoriasis especially plague psoriasis (the most common form of psoriasis) are of local trauma sites

This is also known as the "Koebner phenomenon

A BALANCE DIET IS THE KEY TO MANY HEALTH BENEFITS.

What many people don't realise is the nature of acrylamide is to bind and is responsible for the formation of Psoriasis.

Wish to learn more try

Modern farming techniques have depleted our soils of minerals and processing techniques further erode the nutrtional value of the food we consume. Even store bought organic fruit is a poor source of micronutrients because the fruit is picked before it ripens, bypassing a vital stage of development in the fruit.
Most people, even those who eat the recommended servings of fruit and vegetables a day, fall short of even achieving the highly dubious standards of nutrition set by the RDA.
Of course the product makes the difference, most brands fall far short of the standards of more trustworthy brands. Virtually all supplementation available at your supermarket or health food store is inadequate. For optimum nutrtion you need to avoid the synthensized supplements in favour of highly bio-avalaible organic supplements with the correct proportions of a wide range of minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants working in synergy.
The product I choose is USANA, Usana ranked number one in lyle MacWilliam's guide to nutrtional supplements, a list of over 100 nutrtional supplements from Australia to New Zealand. Usana was also recognized in 2003 and 2004 for producing the best dietary supplement in the state of utah- this is particuarly impressive because there are nearly 100 dietary supplement companies in utah. And they didnt just beat them by a marginal figure, the difference was very pronounced. They adhere to pharmaceutical grade standards instead of food grade standards even though they don't have to. Usana is currently listed in the United states' physicians' desk reference, Canada's Compendium of pharmaceuticals and specialties, and Australia's monthly index medical specilaties. These reference guides are used by doctors and are as far as I know USANA is the only supplement to achieve this status in orthodox medicine

re: Eating Whole Foods Are Far Better Than Taking a Supplement

In my own experience, it has only been thru consuming targeted supplements that has enabled me to achieve any degree of good health combined with an organic diet. We should be aware that optimum health is only achieved thru optimum nutrition which can only be determined thru bio-individuality; as an example: one of Dr Steve Hickey PhD relatives has Eisenmenger syndrome, which includes thickening of the small arteries in the lungs, caused by a hole in her heart that was not repaired while she was young. She is now in her fifties, but as a youngster was told she would be dead by the age of twenty. Recently, she read Ascorbate: The Science of Vitamin C and began taking 24 Grams of Vitamin C a day. The change has been quite remarkable. Previously, her skin and lips were blue from lack of oxygen and she had difficulty walking short distances. She was so breathless that it was for her to hold a conversation. Now she looks pink and healthy, her voice is clear and she can walk for a mile or two without getting tired. A friend who saw her after she had started taking Vitamin C asked What have you been doing? You look ten years younger!!
Interestingly, another person noticed her popping the large 1500 milligram tablets and asked how many she was taking. The answer, 16 tablets a day produced the response.....Are you sure thats a good idea? You could make yourself sick!!!

re: Eating Whole Foods Are Far Better Than Taking a Supplement

Studies have been done that show that, if farm fields are bordered by hedgerows and trees with natural vegetation, that the productivity of the field is increased. This is counter-intuitive. As you would think that the larger the field the more you could produce. Many theories as to why this is so point to increased mineralization from the leaf drop from the deciduous trees. Though true I have a different theory
Eco-tones or edges are vectors found in the environment where field, forest and water intersect
in the various combinations. They support a greater diversity of life and apparently the field component is again more productive.
I heard a story that in 1991 there was a Japanese researcher named Bruce Tiano(?) who invented a way to measure the frequency of people.
D.C. not A.C. Studies apparently showed that healthy individuals frequency was something like 70 hertz and when tested individuals with cancer had frequencies very low (in the 40's.).
In older growth forests in North America where we can find wood- peckers they make nests that become homes for song birds. Song birds increase the frequency of the forest. Measurements of fast foods revealed dead food with 0 frequency. Some organic herbs measured
25 Hz. So is it song bird habitat? I think in large
part yes, that is increasing the frequency, that is responsable for the increased yields.
So synthetic or natural? The choice is clear we
can't improve upon the LORD's design.

I take high grade whole food supplements. In my case I don't feel there would be a weaning off period if I were to quit them, and I'm sure I'd be just fine. I'd take more but in the interest of money I limit myself to a protocol of vitamins, minerals, flax oil, green food, cholorophyll, trace minerals and additionally I take fresh garlic, ginger and some coconut oil as well. I will not put anything on my body that I can't eat.

I threw my microwave out over a year ago, I eat no meat, dairy or fast food, I bought a water filtration system in 2006.
Now this is not even giving you stats among adults, but it is scary to see that a high percentage of children are already having GI problems. From what I have seen clinically, most of my clients eat lots of refined/processed carbohydrates and other foods, as well as are taking lots of synthetic vitamins, protein powders, enzymes, probiotics, omega-3’s, and so on. For one most of these people have a poor lifestyle habit and are using the supplements to play catch up. Two, most or all of theses supplements are synthetic, which means man made. So you body reacts to these in a stressful (sympathetic response) way. You get GI inflammation, irritation, constipation-diarrhea, cramps, bloating, gas, food in your stool, you have lethargy and jitteriness at the same time, you can’t loose weight, and feel like $*#@!

Most of the supplements you buy on the market today are synthetic and depleted of any energy. Using a “this for that” approach, never works in the long run. If you think of how most Americans eat, as well as take supplements, no wonder why they are constipated and taking laxatives or other supplements to poop. They are eating processed foods, conventional meats, eating man made fats and chemical, but on the other end of it to make up for their deficiencies they take antioxidants, mutli-vitamins, vitamin A, B, C, D and so on to counteract the effects of their poor nutrition and lifestyle. Americans buy $1,300,000 worth of laxatives every day (How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy by <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Paul Chek)! Do they ever take the time to listen to their body and wonder why they might be constipated or pooping out toxic waste? They just keep pumping this junk into their bodies, which makes them become more and more constipated.

Now with all this what is my point? I have two points for you all. The first one is simple. We spend more money on health care, prescriptions and day’s home from work sick secondary to GI Disorders. This leads to more money wasted on healthcare, a weakened economic system, as well as creating a whole in your pocket. If we just paid attention to nutrition and lifestyle, everything would be peachy keen! In the past 6 years, I have only missed one day of work. Yes one day and I attribute that to proper nutrition and lifestyle.

My second point is that if you are eating organic foods (It takes life to give life!), eating for your metabolic type (www.mercola.com), drinking the proper fluids (water), getting enough sleep and thinking positively, then success is inevitable. Taking any supplement for that matter creates negative energy within the body (stress), which the end result it total body dysfunction in the long run. There are some companies that have high quality organic supplements, but I never recommend them until the 6 month mark while working with a client. I would rather focus on diet and lifestyle initially in order to reintroduce life to the body. 99.9999999% my clients get results. Did cave men have supplements?

Before you start recommending supplements or taking them, my advice is to:

Do some major research on them, as well as others. Find out who funded the research and talk with the companies to find out if the supplements are nutraceutical grade.

Try using diet and lifestyle recommendation first
