Women who consume no more than 2 percent of their daily calories from trans fats may be responsible for doubling their risks of ovulation-related infertility troubles. But for that matter, it is not the end all be all on whether or not a female is going to be fertile. I have found that sugar, stress of any kind, rancid oils, the pill and cosmetic products to be some of the large time bombs that make women have mentrual irregularities, as well as becoming infertile.

For one, when CRAP food are eaten, their is a large antibody to antigen ration that goes on in the body. Large amounts of IgE and IgG are released in the body, creating allergic responses (GALT activation) and immune reactions. To make a long story short, what body or GOD for that matter is going to allow a body in survival mode become pregnant?

Secondly, most women are very deficient in all the various oils that our bodies need. If you look at the hormonal pathways, cholesterols is THE PRECURSOR for every hormone in your body. It creates pregnenolone, which is a precursor to progesterone, the estrogens and so forth. So if you are deficient in oils (3, 6, GLA, etc), your body will have decreased production of these hormones. I am not saying this is the only factor, but a large one. What does Progesterone mean... "for life!" So without it, you will have a hard time conceiving a child. With proper eating, lifestyle habits, testing and treatement with bio-iendtical progesterone, I have helped many women who were having a hard time becoming pregnant, become!

Lastly, fertility is a huge issue within our world today, whether male or female. Following proper nutrition and lifestyle principles, using other treatments such as TCM, and creating a "for life" environment within, will create!

re: Even Small Amounts of Trans Fats Doubles a Woman's Fertility Risks

I applaud the trans-fat bans that are becoming more common. I ate at several restaurants in NYC this weekend. NYC is already implementing its trans-fat free ban. I strongly suspect they are using Monsanto's low-linoleic soybean oil, "Vistive" in their cooking. Shortly after consuming a really wonderful tasting steak dinner, I developed gastrointestinal problems. This really didn't surprise me. We as consumers need to know what they are replacing the trans fats with. I cook with organic coconut oil and organic extra-virgin olive oil. It is my hope that someday we will see labeling that truly refects what is in a product. We need to eliminate trans-fats and genetically modified foods!
