Just a few years ago, about 1 million kids in North America would have ear tubes

re: Ear Tubes Not Usually Necessary to Prevent Developmental Problems in Kids

My daughter has had ear problems since she was born. She is now 6 and has had 4 sets of tubes. My son had 1 set and then they removed his adenoids. My poor daughter on top of that, wears 2 hearing aids due to a conductive hearing loss we believe she has had since birth.

I am currently trying a no-milk diet for her, and we are also going to try raw milk as the alternative, as I have read that in some cases, it's not just the milk, but the processed milk instead of raw milk.

So far her ears have been staying in much better shape than before, however, we haven't been to the doctor for the check up yet. We shall see, but I think we're having good results.

re: Ear Tubes Not Usually Necessary to Prevent Developmental Problems in Kids

Ionic collodial silver at 10 PPM per day and peroxide, topically, indeed correct this issue!!!

fluid congestion, not an infection causes otitis media (I do not have
the reference for this article).

The mechanics of an ear infection consist of the inability of the
eustation tube to drain properly. Anatomically, the inner ear drains
via the eustacian tube to the nasopharynx (inner nose). I am aware of a
number of mechanisms that can inhibit drainage of the inner ear.

The outside of the eustation tube is proximal to many lymphatic
vessels. When a child has an infection or allergic reaction, mucus
thickens, the inflammatory process ensues, and the diameter of the tube
may decrease. All of which may inhibit the tubes ability to drain. So
right on- rule out all food / dairy allergies.

The tube is also surrounded by the tensor veli palatini muscle. This
muscle is innervated by the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve.
This nerve originates from the brainstem. If the nerve becomes
irritated, spasm of the muscle surrounding the eustation tube may
occur. By improving the function of the nervous system using
chiropractic and / or cranial work like Dr Mercola suggests, function
can be restored to the nerve, muscle, and the eustation tube will drain
normally.

re: Ear Tubes Not Usually Necessary to Prevent Developmental Problems in Kids

The Ear Nose and Throat doctor wanted to insert ear tubes into my son's ears 8 years ago after repeat ear infections. When we refused to sign the surgery papers we were not welcomed back into his office. This was the seminar event that started our path to looking at alternative sources of health information. Our family doctor sent us to an allergist who put my son on an elimination diet. We soon discovered that eliminating dairy also elimated his ear infections - no surgery required. Although I never anticipated being an "alternative" type, this crisis over my son's ears sent us down a path I really appreciate now. It was very interesting to read of this study.

re: Ear Tubes Not Usually Necessary to Prevent Developmental Problems in Kids

Why would something that causes pain, and opens a pathway for more germs to enter the body be helpful to start with?
