The bad news is that it will require castration. You have a very rare condition, which causes your testicles to press on your spine and the pressure creates one hell of a headache. I suffered the same problem…only I opted to keep my testicles intact, and instead had my spine removed. The headaches disappeared, but I lost the nerve to procreate.

And to think all I really needed was to just lose the underoos, and graduate to big boy briefs…Oye!

re: A Very Important Reason to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

What a great (and hillarious) example to use as a metaphor for the healthcare that is going on in this country!! I love Dr. Mercola's sense of humor, it keeps me laughing everyday! (Which I think is good for your health, right?)

ALWAYS get a second opinion. Thats the lesson. I like the article because bringing humor into it allows people to relax and be more accepting to the information, then to think about it in lamen's terms. It makes the process of applying the concept to larger and more serious situations we deal with everyday, much smoother.

I have found in my life that the doctor's were telling me to heal myself one way, and I was not being healed. I was doing the band-aid thing for my son and myself...then I started looking for second opinions...but not doctors, on internet sites like Dr. Mercola's and started self-empowerment and self-treatment where applicable. And guess what? IT WORKS.

You only live life once, do it right! Take care of the wonderful, intricate, beautiful, amazing body God gave you! Take care.

re: A Very Important Reason to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

To bad Bill did not by the suit first he could have saved all the money the surgery cost and bought several new suits. I enjoyed the story

mmc88121

re: A Very Important Reason to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

I was always of the opinion that is was acute care we did best and to be very wary of all the rest. Well - you have to be careful of acute care too. I walked out on a doc earlier this week that insistent that there is only one way to treat a broken wrist and wouldn't answer my questions when I questioned his advice and asked for an option that would give me maximum functionality. Smartest thing I ever did as I found that the next doc was fully on board with my desire to have functionality and I am quite satisfied with my treatment plan.
The majoe reason I walked out on me was his insistance that "risks" weren't mine to assume.

re: A Very Important Reason to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

Once again Occum's Razor wins, the simplest and most common sense answer, generally speaking, is the correct one.

re: A Very Important Reason to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

Humor is good.

A laugh a day keeps the doctor away :)

re: A Very Important Reason to Get a Second Opinion Before ANY Health Procedure

That is classic!
