I was diagnosed with a severe case of bipolar disorder 4 years ago - initially while sitting in a jail cell. I spent 3 years in a government program where I was required by law to continue medications (of all sorts and varieties) and attend various meetings/therapy sessions.

It was the most miserable time in my life.

Through the support of loved ones and, even more so, the application of sound health information found on web sites like this one, I healed myself. I've since created a beautiful life for myself. People like Mercola are largely responsible for why I'm not part of one of these statistics.
So thank you, Mercola. You're a saint in my eyes.

Boy does GSK have a good spin artist.n It takes a drug that increases your risk for suicide 3-4 times and sells it as sometihing that can decrease your suicide rate. I wish I could us that logic in my bank statements. I would never bounce a check.

Every year approximately 200,000 die from prescription drug reactions.

Another 80,000 die from medical malpractice.

41,000 die in auto accidents.

This from the ICFDA website, a good resource for information regarding the dangers of pharmaceuticals. The site has a link to lawsuits against drug companies due to tragic adverse reactions caused by anti-depressants.

Perhaps, the executives and decision makers in these amoral pharmaceutical companies, justifying in their minds the limited benefits of such drugs, as outweighing the need for caution on KNOWN harmful, or deadly, side effects, on their decision trees, over rode the MANY negatives, with dollar signs dancing on their balance sheets?

As for the FDA, well, we know the approval process to be a sham in many instances, as evidenced by almost daily recalls and new warning labels and litigation filed.

I was unaware that these group of pharmaceutical executives were ancient Egyptian Pharaohs, and planning to take their ill gotten gains with them into the next life? Congratulations.

A non curable POX upon these perhaps void-less souls and their children's...and may they not sleep at night either (with or without their patented sleep aids).

If you want just an inkling of what global pharmaceutical has become, in part, or majority, and in some cases, whole, rent the film: The Constant Gardener....though allegedly fictional, from LeCarrie's thriller novel of the same title, in point of fact, this film is MILD by comparison to REALITY.
