First let me say that I think this vaccine is dangerous and should NOT be given to anyone...but what angers me is that MERCK claims it can stop the virus in BOTH males and females, but yet again in our male-oriented world we only are pushing it for the females!!
Come on --it still takes two to tango...so why, as the parent of both a boy and a girl wouldn't I want them to both be protected/or do there part to avoid...If it is sexually transmitted and can be required for entrance to school...then both potential "carriers" should be vaccinated.
AGAIN, I do not think we should be falling for MERCKS usual line of crap...BUT I AM playing the devils' advocate here..somewhat.
Once again the females are the "bad guys" when marketing this drug.
Hmmmm, unless my kid is actually having sex IN the school, then why the heck should this of been a required vaccine..
As we all know from this and other articles, it is useless and unproven.
Thank goodness the government (for now anyway) has backed off from pushing this, thanks to those who wrote their senators and other political powers...(as I IMMEDIATELY did)...but isn't it sad that we have to launch these letter writing campaigns to get our "intelligent" (?) elected officials to act in our best interests?
What is wrong with this country when it comes to the advertisng, promoting and educating of our Drs. by BigPharms reps,not from text books, school, etc...I guess a BigPharm sponsored seminar now classifies as "educational". Sure no special influence there..

Thank you Dr. Mercola for continuing to bring these dangerous "legal" drugs to our attention.

Scared...by BigPharma....

The one good thing to come of this is that have now seen Gov. Rick Perry for who he really is. He is a good looking, smooth-talking politician who will sell your children out. He almost had me fooled. The way he handled the hurricane a couple of years ago, he looked like Presidential material. So I'm TRULY glad to know whose bed he really sleeps in. What was I thinking?

Those of us in the natural health field have been watching and screaming about the drug companies for years (25 for me)...

As with the 100 Monkey theory....the 100th Monkey has been awakened....I see a big difference now.

Merck realizes this....but, this time, it's too late...laying back and waiting will not work. People are finally (yeah!) FED UP with all the bull and are taking back their lives. This blog is proof.

The real battle here is the battle over the truth. Do massive campaigns to vaccinate for just about any thing you can think of A. do they actually work. B. Do they cause more harm then good. C. Are they more about the finachial gain then anything else. Vaccines are an article of faith in the medical community. But at one time the medical community held it as true that you could not touch a beating heart. We must insist that honest and inpartial evaluations be made on all medical procedures. If that happen worthless and sometimes harmful procedures and drugs will give way tosafer and often natural alternatives

I will never turn my children into guinea pigs for the pharmacutical industry just for the convenience of public school.

I belive that any medicine should be a persons freedom of choice and not a mandate.

I will never willingly comply with medical practices such as these. Between Big Agri-biz attempting to patent all seeds and GMOs, to the big pharma forcing use of thier pharmecuticals, and the nightmare of Codex. I realise that our world is in serious jeapordy. These coporations are launching an all out assault on the human race. Most people don't realise where the real war is coming from, it's these large corporations. Want to know why everyone hates the US....Corporate GREED....Monsanto, Dow, Cargill, Big Pharma, Arms manufacturing, they create these wars and the propaganda that starts them.

For those of you at MERCK reading this blog, or your spies, know well I for one do not believe your PR pronouncements, or legally advised retreats, you claim to be making.

The proof is in your actions already, and with a track record of Vioxx deaths, let's just say your records sucks.

I'll believe this temporary so-called cessation in lobbying and aggressive marketing on another harmful product being permanent, (versus you just lying low for a while, and will start up again when the heat is off) when I see it.

Those of us here, at the globe's number one natural health site on the internet, will be watching...very closely.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry should be held liable for his actions! As a father of 2 young teenage girls I was becoming very concerned to say the least. This doesn't mean we should let our guard down as we all know how and why big pharma is motivated. They will continue to use peoples' ignorance as leverage for their diabolical plots. At least it's a step in the right direction.
