I certainly can declare that pharmaceutical drugs are killing our society. I am in my 7th month of withdrawal from Alprazolam (Xanax). I was given this poison by a well meaning general practitioner due to my anxiety. Four years later after a list a mile long of side effect symptoms and major damage to the central nervous system I am almost free of this pharma demon. Without the opportunity to choose natural supplementation and the choice of a naturopath or homeopath to be our coach, we are destined as a society to ill health, lack of life quality and early demise. We cannot let our government tell us how we should care for our own bodies.

That is precisely why the FDA manages to maintain credibility with the masses.......they use many natural health company's claims concerning the efficacy of certain nutrients/herbs/supplements etc. to further their campaign against them, because those certain companies are not being responsible in how and what they claim as a health benefit. Therefore, it is easy for FDA to push through the toxic foods and/or toxic additives and/or toxic drugs, to make the corporate monsters realize more profits. Of course not to forget about lining their own pockets in the process!
It gives me the chills thinking about it but I honestly believe they (FDA) believe their own lies regardless of the horrendous danger to the public interest.
But in my opinion, there should be enough of "us" to go against "them" and make some changes! We can make our voices heard if we get the word out to enough people and educate them. And in the mean time we should caution the health food industry to get the word out among its members and remind them to be diligent in how they promote their products.......it only makes sense!
Me.....well I'm still pestering certain friends by constantly sending them emails and videos to educate them. I know they silently think of me as a regular nuisance, but I won't stop until I've convinced them that our freedoms are being slowly taken away.
Let us not grow weary of the struggle, we can keep each other motivated by actively doing something to change the minds of the complacent and feeble minded.......oops......hope my friends don't read that statement:)

The best way to understand why the government is so hot to regulate and control supplements and herbs is to look at the governments so called drug war.

Around 1900, almost any drug was legal in the United States, including opium, cocaine, pot, etc. At that time, drug stores/soda shops started having their customers have problems when they abused these legal narcotics. However, the problems were minor, and few true drug addicts existed.

The government formed a response at the time of Teddy Rosevelt was president to make sure that the food supply and drug supply was safe, and more regulations occured, but only in the forties, when pot was beginning to be used in more mainstream communities and not just by the poor and ghetto youth, did the drug war start.

This drug war was a mirror of the abolition movement of alcohol, and had the same useless results in that it generated more users, and increased crime and destroyed the social fabric.

Now a new generation of abolitionists has arisen, to address minor abuses in the supplement and herbal communities, and it will result in a raging black market, crime, and no actual benefit. The problem is that the first two abolitions hit part but not all the main stream culture, and supplements and herbs are totally mainstream.

I could survive losing the ability to drink alcohol, and I have no interest in narcotics, but if you take away my oregano oil, CoQ10, Colostrum supplements, and Emu Oil, and tell me I have to be content with GM corn, processed foods, and big pharma meds that I am mostly allergic to, I am going to be breaking out my Che Guevera black clothing and heading to the hills for La Revolution. It also covers so many of the topics that continually threaten our health and freedom to choose our healthcare including the FDA, CODEX, GMO products and so much more.

If you want to change what seems inevitable, get Pat Robinson and the religious community involved.
I used to think they were paranoid when they described a world organization conspiracy with agendas. The evidence is right in front of our eyes!
This has all the smell of a international conspiracy to rule how we as a people will act. This is done as predicted by the religious right through financial controls.
I wish it were otherwise. I don't think you have a chance of changing this at our level because it has already been decided at a much higher level and nothing we do will change that.
The only chance you have to change it is to get the majority of the people up in arms about it. That means get the religious right on your side and get them to bring pressure to bear on the government.
As I have said, I think this is already decided and you will be betrayed by the very people you think will rise to our defense on this thing.

This comment is about our brainwashed medical profession and complicit government "protection" agencies.

Three years ago my daughter was 13. She had one asthma attack. I purchased a nebulizor with albuterol to protect her if it happened again. My pediatrician insisted that I put her on steroids. I refused. She reported me to the department of child protection for child neglect. Our whole family was interrogated in our home by the government representative. In the end she dismissed the case--she could see no evidence of child neglect and informed me that the government could not choose which form of health care I used, or something to that effect.

My response was, not at this point in time, thank God. Where will this lead???? Could a law REQUIRE me to put my 13 year old daughter on steroid be enacted? What horrors arise when countries are run by corporations.

Great video!! I saw the connection between banning L-Tryptophan and introducing Prozac. L-tryptophan raises serotonin naturally. I remember when it was banned back in the 80's.

HOWEVER, even though Russ Bianchi had good information, what did it have to do with the video???

Your presenting of the video is admirable, Doc, but we are bothered by the emphasis subsequently placed on a discussion of "supplements scams etc". That focus became dominent in the discussion concerning the video.

While we watch the ominous assembling of the "IG Farben/Nazi armies" (Drug Corporations/FDA-Western Governments), the "concern" of the People is directed upon the "hucksters among us."

Was that your intent?

We need more than a "litany of lamentations"!

What is certainly needed is discussion about drugs and supplements, but "fiddling while Rome burned" was only in the interests of Nero.......not the People.

The forces of Codex are menacingly organized while, We the People are not. We may not be even able to "repel" them as England and Russia were able to in World War II. Even so, it still needed the American Armies to enable the defeat of that attempt to "One World Order." The current American government is not currently "with us" on this one.

What is needed is for these "Codex Forces" to be put on the defensive. That needs the People to assert themselves. Why not support www.vote.org

We need something for People to rally around, to make People "think" and "participate" and "defend themselves" against this ongoing attempt by Villains to grab control of "everything" (nutrients in this video's emphasis).

Go to the above website, and if this is a bad idea, point it out to us. It is something that can be done, other than just "lament" over our "Fate.

Most people in the "Western" world, wouldn't know good health even if it jumped up and slapped them around the face. The basic pre-requisite of ALL food that is grown is Selenium in the soil, which forms proxeronine in the plants, which in turn forms xeronine in the liver, which in turn keeps your blood clean, which in turn keeps your brain cells clean..........if the brain cells are clean, you will not need any form of supplements because you will "THINK".
Then think about this: The FDA are no different in your country, as the TGA is in Australia, and both of these ludicrous bodies can be beaten simply by registering a security interest in your All Caps name, using an upper-lower case name.
The FDA cannot go against an upper-lower case name because you are no longer a ward of the State, nor a "person", aka, corporation, therefore they have no jurisdiction.
If all people did this, they would not need to protest against any government as the government would no longer be relevant!! Don't you think they know this?
Drink 40ml of 100% Noni juice 1/2 hour before each meal and watch your brain begin to de-fog . Once the fog has lifted, amazing results ensue!!!!!!

What Russ Bianchi says about there being many deceptive natural and herbal products out there is correct.

That's why the only way to get to know the truth of it all is your own research and to become your OWN doctor. Most people don't want to do this and are lazy about it. That's what has allowed the drug companies and medical community to cash in and capitalize on this human trait to take control and make billions from it.

People want to be able to eat whatever they want and when they get sick, go to the doctors, get a "magic pill" and get better so they can go back to eating their unclean and toxic foods that they enjoy so much. It doesn't work that way. You can't keep breaking the laws of biophysics and expect to get away with the consequences forever.

The best way to know if your on the right path is to focus on medicine done the Chinese way. I have studied Chinese Gung-fu, Chinese medicine, breathing, meditation and Chi-gung for over twenty-three years now. Since they have the oldest civilization on earth and already had palaces built when the pyramids of Egypt were being built, theirs is the oldest fountain of knowledge and wisdom about health and many other subjects on the planet, and they're still light years ahead of anything today.

The Chinese tried using mineral, metal and other non herbal concoctions for over four hundred years from about 300BC to 100AD. After countless deaths, being being maimed, crippled, irreversibly damaged and such, they realized that using anything other then herbs or natural treatments from nature was a total and complete FAILURE.

The Chinese were not only searching for cures, but the fountain of youth, or Elixer of life as they called it. I'm sorry to say, I put off viewing this video due to time constraints, and just now had a chance to view it in its entirety. It is an excellent video, and should be viewed by everyone.

Keeping supplements legal and available is very important to me, personally, because my health has improved so much thanks to them and a whole organic foods diet regimen, plus the fact I quit taking all prescription and OTC medications about three years ago.

Naturopathic healing is the only way I'm going with my health choices…no matter what they decide. I steadfastly refuse to become a part of their mainstream medical madness. I will not take their drugs…so they will never benefit from me in my lifetime.

I have been aware of this issue for several years. I subscribe to several other health web sites besides Dr. Mercola's , and they all are on the same page when it comes to this very important issue. I urge everyone to stay abreast of this, and get to know your senators and congress persons. Don't let this slide…Slam the FDA with nuisance letters and contrary emails.

This is presently a "non issue" to our politicians (save a very few), but we have got to make this a high priority item in 2008.

"We Become Silent" was another great one.

If we are silent then we allow the government to rule us, we lose our freedoms!

I wish we could all stand together and fight the great injustices going on today... It seems that they are at an advantage because we are all so busy and tied to our jobs that it would be hard to hold a protest of mass proportions. Oh how I hope that we can stop all this nonsense.
