I've used it myself for immune boosting and it's been very good. Also got reports of cancer regression from users.

Wow - We can certainly trust the Universe!

A friend was recently diagnosed with cancer. When she told me I did not react as she probably expected - Why? Because I have known about Essiac for many years and just know it will be the answer to her problem. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to pass on this priceless information. She sent her husband out immediately to the local health food store to buy Essiac. I have not had an update on her condition, but at least it has given her hope and the chance to look at alternative solutions to a medical condition. I will forward Dr. Mercola's site and am so happy to have this video for her to see. I recall when this controversy took place in Toronto and recognized Andy Barrie's voice - who is now on CBC Radio. I am so thankful for Dr. Mercola.

I disagree that taking something like Essiac Tea is a "magic bullet". What it does is help to boost the immune system, helping the body to fight off the cancer naturally. There are many such herbs and natural products out there that will help the body accomplish this.

The list given by Dr. Mercola are mainly good PREVENTIVE measures to keep you from getting cancer in the first place, but not necessarily enough to combat the disease once you contract it.

As a cancer survivor, I highly doubt I'd have beat the disease just by doing the things he listed. I also did some of his so called "magic bullets", such as Essiac Tea, lots of different supplements and herbs, all geared at boosting my immune system. I did everything else on his list too, but also needed these extras to completely beat the cancer.

A book I highly recommend for anyone with cancer is called "Curing Cancer Gently" by Bill Henderson. He's done some great research over the years on alternative treatments available.

As a Clinical Herbalist I have been using “Essiac Tea” on many patients for about 20 years now. I co wrote the book “Essiac a Native Herbal Cancer remedy” The biggest part of my contribution to the book was the history and first hand information I was privileged to get from a doctor (ND) in California who was himself, half Ojibwa Indian. He explained to me that the Ojibwas (who originated this simple four herb formula) used this as just an “underlying formula” The Chapter I wrote was called “The Possible Missing Ingredient”

The Ojibwas used this formula for most any disease. The name for this in Ojibwa means, “Formula to get the body back in harmony (with the Great Spirit)” In Cancer, they used this as an underlying formula and then cured the cancer with Bloodroot. However a few people have been cured of cancer with the tea alone. (Most likely because they just needed colon cleansing to rid whatever was “feeding” the cancer)

The powerful antioxidant action of “Essiac” (I call it Ojibwa Tea) when combined with the undeniable Cancer curing action of Bloodroot has never stopped amazing me these last 25 years! I have witnessed many complete healings!!

Conventional vs. alternative, GMO vs. Non-GMO, Organic vs. conventional, there is a war taking place on every front. The bottom line is that we (the intelligently informed) need to teach and spread the truth to overcome them (the dumbed down drug taking, processed food eating folks) that are destroying our health and planet.

I feel that the more each side participates and works together as a team, there will not be "what is right and what is wrong" anymore. A great thing that my TCM school does is a focus group once a month. It is held at our school and it is local MD's and TCM doctor's/students that get together to share their knowledge on a particular subject each month. I feel that the more we do this within our practices, the more each side will truely understand what each other does. Most of the time when either side gets defensive, etc, it is because someone does not understand.
