They concentrate them by a factor of 30 or so. They have very little sugar. One mfr says their process removes the sugars but don't say how. If they are just drying them, the sugar would still be there, right? If they are using an extraction process that removes the sugar, then I am concerned about what else was removed. (I know - just eat fresh - but the low sugar powders are appealing if they left the nutrients in.) Anyone? Thanks! Duane

re: The Antioxidant in Blueberries That Could Prevent Colon Cancer

When I have oatmeal for breakfast I use blueberries as the sweetener about 5-10 makes the oatmeal more than sweet enough. And if they are frozen they "Melt" enough to thin the oatmeal a little.

Mary

re: The Antioxidant in Blueberries That Could Prevent Colon Cancer

"Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food."

Live healthy today, be healthy tommorow!

re: The Antioxidant in Blueberries That Could Prevent Colon Cancer

I find it very difficult to find fresh organic blueberries, even in CA. I just bought two packages from Trader Joe's and they were awful! Their appearance was great but when I bit into them they were mealy and mushy (gag!). I refuse to buy blueberries that are imported from Chile. I know the Vital Choices offers organic wild blueberries but they seem rather pricey. If anyone in N.
