Everytime a Governor turns an "about-face" to this dangerous vaccine, I breathe a sigh of relief. No matter what the reason, or should I say motivation, we are buying time. Notice that these Politicians always preceed a veto by stating that this vaccine is "promising" but until they know more, a state mandate is "premature." By using such terms, the door is left propped open to big pharma, their bread and butter. But as I said, they are buying time. We need to take advantage of this window of opportunity to yell, scream and fight for our children. We need to educate everyone we know. We need to keep those letters, phone calls and e-mails flooding the offices of our legislators. It only took 5000 letters from Texans and 1500 letters from outsiders to change Gov. Perry's hardened stance on this vaccine. Little by little, other Heads of State who were quick to follow his lead, are likewise following suit by listening to those have the power of the vote. Let's continue to be the voice of the innocent. There is power in numbers and we can make a difference! Let's stop Merck, now!!!!

At least the young girls in New Mexico will not be forced to have a vaccine they do not need. Even if it is a political ploy it still can save lives.

Gov. Bill Richardson's prepared statement:

"WHILE EVERYONE RECOGNIZES THE BENEFITS OF THIS VACCINE, THERE IS INSUFFICIENT TIME TO EDUCATE PARENTS, SCHOOLS, AND HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS."

That's what "premature" means.

Rick Perry in Texas should be booted out of office on impeachment charges... if not criminally held liable for child endangerment and breaching his oath of office to protect the health and well being of those in his State.
