Further more, the supplies and tools we use (like massage lotions or oils, or supplements in a health food store, accupuncture needles, crosses and holy water, etc.) are going to be termed as medical treatments and medical devices only to be used by those with a medical degree!!!! It will be illegal for those of us with any holistic training and licensure to practice under these new terms!!! It will also be illegal for any store to carry any supplements!! Even MD's!!

If you have not done so, please provide your comment to the FDA! This is an outrage that they would force us to have only one option for healthcare, conventional medicine!!!

Please voice yourself!!! What if it were the same drink but called Happiness, etc? Would they take it off the shelves? I don't think so because there are so many other drinks that are just like this.

So the FDA needs to start focusing on what is in things, not the name of things.

re: Cocaine Busted by the FDA

Let's face it, it FDA is doing a PR campaign. Firstly, this drink beverage has nothing to do with heightened energy (under the scientific definition). The beverage embodys a legal alkaloid based CNS stimulant CAFFEINE, which in the end measure with repetitious use is a long term POISON. In the short run, CAFFEINE acute overdosage has been known to KILL as well. Without the inherent CAFFEINE, it is just another run-of-the-mill flavored drink. Without the Madison Avenue type of old-school hype, the drink is nothing special as compared to other beverages. Without the specified name, it doesn't have the "zing" to attract new customers; especially the impressionable young ones. And this is what successful "marketing" is all about, isn't it?

Secondly, the federal FDA has seemingly been at the beck and call of the "Elite" money interests of this capitalist society for a long time. Come to your own conclusions on this one.

re: Cocaine Busted by the FDA

The FDA will approve anything that is harmful to anyones health, including animals. What they do not approve of is life sustaining products. The process had begun in the early 60's, and is progressing at a high speed today. When these people are having a good day, they may make a kind approval. But most of these days they disapprove of life sustaining products. If we hold back and do not fight for our lives, the FDA and others, will take over. We need to shout out loud, NO, GO AWAY AND LET US BE.

re: Cocaine Busted by the FDA

The FDA is on a roll....what could be next? That is the problem with the FDA they are unpredictable. One day they fast track a useless drug that has blatant side effects. The next day they are taking a stand against the blatantly marketed Cocaine drink, even though it has been on the market for quite some time and has already done harm. The FDA continues to exhibit signs of contradiction in what it chooses to regulate. There will be many more instances where a drug or drink is pulled off the market, but that is the problem they should never have been granted marketability in the first place. How many times will Dr. Mercola have to say, "I told you so"!

re: Cocaine Busted by the FDA

Several years ago when I worked in a small country store, we used to refuse to sell Red Bull and all similar drinks to anyone who appeared to be under the age of 18.
