What's more is, it's a snap to make. In a tall glass, pour half a glass of raw milk. Top the glass off with raw cream. If it sits on the bottom of the glass, it's good. If it floats, it's turning bad. It's probably still not a problem to use the ones that start to float in cooking, but I'd toss the ones that float on top. BTW, eggs last a long time! I've had eggs in the fridge for two months that still sink in a glass of water. They probably have lost some of their nutrients, but still make a yummy batch of cookies.

Also, I'm with the guy who said why do you need an electronic whipper for eggs? Truth is that it's best not to blend milk at high speeds, it damages the cell structure...Raw milk is best for you, second best is non-homogonized milk because the cell structure is intact - even pasturized but not homogenized. When you buy raw or non homogenized milk, you don't want to take an electric whip to it - just use a whisk for a luscious frothy glass o' nog.

This morning, I had to add pasterized heavy cream since I don't have raw. However, as Luci would say: Yummy Scrummy!

Another way I like to consume raw eggs is to beat it in a tea cup along with a little bit of smoothie mix. It's quick, and ickless.

Gas from eating raw eggs. Well, I do know that if you change your diet, you're gonna get gas a little bit because your body is getting use to the change. Once you get use to the change, you'll stop gasing. And be sure that once after that you change to your old eating ways, the gas will come:) Maybe that is the reason.

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

i would like to ask if there are any other recipies for eating Raw eggs as i cannot get hold of Raw milk at all... please help, thankyou

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

What an exciting exhange! I am just reeling from a longtime vegan friend's intolerance to our (raw) meat eating and wondering if a friendship is worth continuing. Anyway, here's a fun link to a vacation video/audition video which we just uploaded to youTube. it is a bit of a spoof on the fear factor/reality shows, but it is also the way we eat. Notice the kids' complete acceptance of their father's lunch. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xExPx-4Q0FA

We were in FL and we found ourselves eating raw meat, eggs, some fruit and vegetables and cod liver oil. MY husband, whose skin tends to be sensitive to the sun, never burned once; and when the kids got a bit red, we just applied Neehm oil.

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

Adding a drop or two of liquid stevia turns this into a drink better than any milkshake I've ever had. Also after a good workout at the gym I'll also drop in an extra egg or two, and maybe add a scoop of Whey Protein Powder.

Whenever I see a simple recipe like this I always think of tons of additions to make it even more tasty and nutritious. Instead of milk I also use this same recipe with plain goat yogurt and add raw nuts and blueberries. This is my breakfast almost every morning - not only because I believe it to be so healthy but also because I can't get sick of it. Humans are the only species to drink another species milk. Humans are known for their, shall we say, less than rational behavior. Eggs, from what I understand contain the highest cholesterol of any food know to mankind (and, of course, womankind). This is information that I've gleaned over the years, and I'm still looking for the truth. I definitely don't want to exploit animals, but sometimes have this back and forth view - partly because that's all that's available many places. Some folks are just so jaded, they won't even think about it.

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

RAW EGG DESERT.....
I remember when my mom was not into making cookies she mixed a couple of egg yolks with powder sugar until it was creamy and foamy, she gave it to us to eat it as you would eat chocolate pudding
;-) yummmmmy!!!!!!!!
We have never got sick from raw eggs and never heard of salmonella until I came here........
marikab

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

A few of my clients get gas from raw eggs... any ideas?

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

Dr. Mercola,

The lack of dates on your material has been a problem for me, just as for the person confused over egg whites and egg yolks. Perhaps you can add a post date on the articles and then we can be sure what is the latest information. Thanks.

I totally agree with this recipe. I grew up having raw egg shakes and absolutely loved them. And now 50+ years later I am still here and healthy.

re: A Novel Way to Consume Raw Eggs

I agree with those who said that their is alot of ignorance about fats, I found Dr. Mary Enig very helpful and have read 2 of her books.

It is only a question of time before the American Heart Association has to admit that cholesterol has nothing to do with heart attacks.I think the Lacet came out with something to that effect recently.

I live in Greece and raw cow's milk is hard to find but goats milk is easier is that the same nutritionally..??.I think the taste is VERY different.

Also I use mascobado brown sugar, will that have policosanol in it?
