I subscribe to a magizine called "Energy Times" and one time in there they had an article about them asking if they could look in (19) Doctor's medicine cabinets to see what was in there. They allowed it and not one of them was taking a medication. Shouldn't that tell us something? If they won't even take what they are trying to sell!! I keep thinking of, you know mankind has been around for how long? What did they do before prescriptions? I am just so "product overwhelmed" anymore. Do we really need everything that they are selling? It just seems that all the "products" we think we need seem to be harming us. We need to get back to nature, and use simple things. For an example, I use ONLY baking soda, 20 mule team borax and vinegar to clean my house! No fumes, doesn't hurt your hands (don't need gloves) and it doesn't hurt your sinks, etc. Try them they really work!!

Dear Doctor Mercola and Fellow readers,

Three months ago I was in the hospital due to an anaphatic response to mold spores. They measured my blood pressure at 150/105. I am 44 years old.

I took the following actions as a plan

1. Began excercise program immediatly. I now exercise 6 days a week for 70 minutes and average 4800 Kcals per week now.

2. I Purchased a book (Dr. Mercola was sold out and he is not the only good Medical author in the US.) "What your doctor might not tell you about Hypertension". This is a fantastic book that covers everything you can do to reduce Hypertension (diet, exercise, and a great overview of all the supplements out there with references to actual studies!!!!!!).

3. I did extensive reseach on the internet regarding diets, exercise, histamine effects on BP.

4. I made an appointment to see a Doctor.

5. I dramatically altered my diet based on review of the above book, the Mayo Clinic Web Site and Dr. Mercola's website. I take a daily multivitamin, Fish Oil and COQ10. Fishoil and CoQ10 are proven to be be effective based on actual studies and there are many.

When I visitted the Doctor I was quite upbeat becuase I had already recorded my morning readings from 150/110 to 140/90 in just 2 weeks.

The doctor took my left arm blood pressure (138/85) and decared me Hypertension 1. He said I would have to go on drugs. I mentioned diet and exercise and he stated " The studies regarding diet and exercise have been very dissappointing". I am not kidding. As a result of this meeting I cancelled my blood test and made another appointment with a cardioligist.

Two months into my program I have morning BP readings in the range of 110/74 to 124/83 for the last week. My resting heart rate has dropped from 78 to 50!!!! And the full effects of exercise are not realized for 9 months.

I love my family doctor, who respects my decision to not vaccinate my children, but even he is subject to this kind of marketing. The point I want to make is that I had a chuckle when I read the comment that it is mostly male doctors who are subject to this kind of coercion. I have noticed that when there are pharma reps in my doctor's office (he's male), they are invariably very attractive women who wear clothes that make the most of their 'assets'. I'm sure this is just a coincidence, eh?

It is not just our doctors that are being paid off by the drug companies. Our members of congress and the major media outlets as well. Congress recently passed a bill allowing individuals and groups of people to purchase perscription drugs from other countries at a huge savings to us. This got a lot of air time on the 24 hour news outlets. However, only days later congress passed an amendment to that bill that basically made it null and void. The interesting fact on this is that none of the major news outlets covered the amendment. Only NPR had a 5-10sec blurb. How is the public to stay informed when the news we get is so filtered and our members of congress so in bed with big pharma?

Are they getting paid off? I don't know for sure but every doc i have ever went to wanted to push medication. I realize that's their NEW job. I thought their main or-OLD job was to do no harm-seek to heal!

Every last doctor-I repeat-every last doctor I have ever went to including trips with family, when asked about a disease the answer- WELL, I DON'T KNOW, but here is your medicine.

I don't go to the doctors now, I haven't had to for several years, unless emergency care is needed. They do a pretty good job there. The VA don't even want to see me there any more because I will not take their medicine. I want to find the cause, not treat a symptom. Their reply-I DON'T KNOW! Well, point me to someone that does. That about sums it up-they leave and don't come back.

My wife is devastated with rheumatoid arthritis. My question to her doctor, one doc says it is it a virus, another says it is bacteria, what's your answer-I don't know but she needs to keep taking her chemo and protein shot once a week! I think the other two doctors are just luring you in for the money! There is NO cure for arthritis! Hummmmm-interesting!

Well, I didn't get into it with him about the three cases of arthritis I personally watched dissapear in less than a month, including my own, plus the case of fibromyalgia. They just don't want to hear that anything else may help. And I might add that most people I talk to about these issues don't either.

I realize they have to make a living, but, what tic's me off is to see them prosper from the suffering of a child. That really eats at me. That's why I stay with Dr. Mercola and other sorces, and try to keep stuff on hand to at least ward off as much sickness as I can. And believe me folks, the stuff works for us. I only wish i could turn my wifes way of thinking around and see her try other stuff besides the harmful medicine.

Do they get paid off-I for one certianly think so.

I recently visited my primary care physician for a physical. I routinely see a naturopath, but I wanted to get my blood tests. I was amazed at the amount of advertisements for drugs that I came across during my visit: The clipboard I used to update my info advertised a drug, There were posters in the waiting room, posters in the office, etc. It seemed like everywhere I turned there was an ad saying "Ask your doctor if 'such and such' is right for you". I find this appauling!

What about ads for living a healthy lifestyle? Oh, that's right, there is no money in that. How would big pharma benefit if we took good care of ourselves?

Today, health care can't even be called "health care" anymore. It should be called "sick care". Thank you Big Pharma!

My experience in doctors offices are usually not good. They are in a hurry, they don't listen, and the "know" more than you. Last year, I had an IVP done because of back pain [I have a abdominal kidney]. The procedure cost 1200 dollars. - The result? "yep, you have an abdominal kidney, so what?" -it was lying over the right iliac crest. "THATS MY HIP" - in those x-rays the scout film found mild righ upper lumbar scoliosis. Did the uro care? nope. He just said, "when you want the kidney fixed, come back" "maybe you should see a Pod" [whatever that means]. I didn't like him. He charged me 200 dollars for the first AND follow up visit which he spent 5 minutes with me. He could have told me this over the phone! - The same with my new gyno [my old one retired, he was wonderful]. She was very cold, didn't listen to my complaints and dismissed them as nothing - I don't go to the doctor much, I haven't had a cold in years, but when I have gone, its the usual, they are there to see you and collect. Most just don't care. Just my humble experience.

Thank you Dr. Mercola! I have always known this but it is good to see black and white proof now. I think it is high time we all use this evidence to form a major complaint in some sort of mass conflict of interest law suit!

This needs to be exposed as much as possible! Please let us know how your legal authorities think we can use this info to further the cause of "Natural health verses forced poison!"
