How long is it going to take to get the population to understand that healthy fats are necessary and good for you?
KNOW YOUR FATS! Then EAT them.

re: 147 Tips to a Happier and Healthier Life

Loved the list, lost of helpful tips that can be incorporated into the lifestyle.

A few comments I'd like to add:
Sun Dry your Laundry: in the winter, hang it on racks in the house to double as a humidifier! We did this in the 9 month Maine winters too! I would just do laundry before bed. It was dry int he morning and could be put out of the way. Also, laundry hung dry is a better time management tool. Take it down and put it away before it has to sit and need ironing. If you didn't get to the dryer as soon as it went off - no big deal. We actually designed our laundry rooms (remodels) to have room to hang the laundry in them.

Maintain your Car! My husband the auto tech can't agree more. You can increase mileage and the life of the car. You save time at the repair shop or dealer, having to work around disabled cars, etc. His favorite customers are the ones who he just sees for regular oil and fluid changes. They are always happier and less stressed, even if he doesn't get a big engine job from them. And listen to your mechanic's suggestion for timeliness. Trust me, they don't want you inconvenienced by unnecessary repairs. It is easier to change fluids and filters for them too.

Keep Separate Accounts: We do this with one account actually. Using Quicken, I create what is called a "Blind Savings." I put money I want to save in that account so it isn't in the balance of my regular account. I just work off the balance I see, not the balance I have. It's a great tool, and saves me having to keep track of two accounts.

Never Stop Learning: That's why I spend way too much time at Mercola. And now that I've joined Vital Votes and want to share . . . well I really need to get back to work!

re: 147 Tips to a Happier and Healthier Life

I noticed Dr Mercola mentions eating meat raw....for great information on organic grass fed meats and their benefits...click here.

I never craved meat until I began to eat organic grass fed beef....now I can't wait to have my steak, and eat it too:)

Dr Dave

re: 147 Tips to a Happier and Healthier Life

To be happy,,, don't envy or judge others.

Dr Dave

re: 147 Tips to a Happier and Healthier Life

This post was deleted because it violated our Terms Of Use :
Comment does not pertain to the topic of the article or does not provide value or insight to the discussion. All common sense is trusting your inner self, listening to self, acknowledging the ego self and moving past it. Most have common sense, but their ego self and all their memetic programming gets in the way creating tension and a tug-of-war.

There are so many self proclaimed books on how to do this, help that, organize this, etc. Yes they are great and work, for the person that wrote it. I feel the more people look within and find true self through self development and discovery, than one does not need these books. Finding out what works for you is what is going to get one organized, make one happy, successful, etc. Those are just my thoughts. Some might agree and some might not. We all experience things in our own way!

re: 147 Tips to a Happier and Healthier Life

Great List in this article! I call many common sense, and hope all of you do also or learn to!
