Not just any magnet will do, however. I spent most of my life often in the ocean boogie boarding, but am no longer able to. Ironically, now I walk on the beach and find shark teeth.

I'm a firm believer in the healing power of magnets. I wear a magnetic necklace daily to prevent pain and numbness down my right arm and into 4 fingers since an auto accident and use them for joint and muscle pain, bruising, and especially for burns. They stop burn pain almost immediately. Even the trimmings of magnetic insoles work wonders for burns.

I'd like to know more about the specific type of magnet used and where to purchase them. Looks like I'll be doing some internet research.

re: How to Avoid Being Bitten by Sharks

Being an acupuncturist, magnets can strongly affect your meridians. I learned this when I was a student in acupuncture school years ago when I was practicing with magnet therapy on acupuncture points. (works quite well if used correctly) However, I had a stack of small powerful magnets in my pocket for a few hours and soon realized that I had pain where the magnets were in my pocket. It stagnates the Qi if left in place too long. & the more powerful the gauss the stronger & faster it works.

FYI

Geoffrey DePaula M.Ac., Lic.Ac., Dipl.C.H.

www.rootandbranchom.com

re: How to Avoid Being Bitten by Sharks

This needs more research and shows so much promise for protecing people from sharks. Which pole is most effective; the north pole or south pole of the magnet? A high powered electronic magnetic pulsed device may do the same thing or better. Electromagnets can be far more powerful.
I use a neo on my head to calm my brain.
