I've been following the progress of S. 1082 since it was introduced. Its progress through the Senate was far slower than anticipated because of the furore it created among the public (and thanks to all of you Mercola fans who contacted your legislators!) The Fat Lady hasn't sung yet because it still has to make an appearance in the House where we will have another opportunity to overwhelm our representatives with a cascade of protests...but I think the future looks grim. We in Maine will have to continue to charter busses to Canada to get our pricier prescriptions filled more affordably. Meanwhile our lawmakers are living off the fat of the land - thanks to Big Pharma contributions.

P.S. When they say it's not about the money...it's about the money.

John Kerry? John Kerry! (incredulously) John Kerry doesn't even need money!
But why should these guys care? They probably get their drugs for free. Maybe they are mistaking the source of their unhappiness and dissatisfaction as not having enough money, when it's actually the drugs they take and poor quality food they consume.
If we could just get them to eat according to their metabolic types, they would be happy and fulfilled instead of greedy. ^_^
