Even getting totally disgusted or angry with me when I dug my heals in and said "no" to Round-Up. My reply was always: "Water soluble means it breaks down in water - to what? Certainly not water. Biodegradable, means it breaks down - to what? Thanks but I'll keep pulling or pouring vinegar on any unwanteds (which are few).

This is the first time I've seen ANYONE say the stuff was bad - which I always believed it was. Sorry for the excitement, but it is so hard to swim against the migration to doom alone. It's just exciting when someone decides to swim against the flow with you!

FYI - I'm not going to give them the "told you so" speech. I'm sure they'll read about it themselves.

re: "Biodegradable & Non-Toxic" Herbicide Turns Out to be Anything But

Another major use of glyphosates are in the "war on drugs".

In Colombia, vast stretches of virgin forest are being pummeled with glyphosates to stop coco growers. However, the growers just move 50' left and do it again -- so the planes dump more glyphosates.

As a result, the deformations in human children and livestock are astounding. I have a plastic surgeon friend who operates on these kids and he has shown me pictures ... you don't want to see them. There are also animal deformations, one-eyed cyclops style cat, and others.

Remember if there doing it here, there doing it out of sight at such a higher level it is scary!

re: "Biodegradable & Non-Toxic" Herbicide Turns Out to be Anything But

Hi, We pull weeds, use mulch, and let useful plants grow that some consider weeds--however we had a terrible poison ivy plant that was taking over our back yard--we tried the salt , vinegar, boiling water ideas but it kept coming back, we finally gave in and used some herbicide on it and thankfully it has not come back. in case we ever have to deal with poison ivy again has anyone had any success with non-toxic methods for this?
