Children With Autism Get Their Day in Court

Childhood Vaccinations

In Yuma, Arizona, the first court case alleging a link between childhood vaccines and autism is being heard in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Eight other such cases are soon to follow, and the decisions made will guide the handling of the other pending claims.

The cases are therefore being closely watched by 5,000 families with autistic children who have lodged claims for compensation.

Most of the families claim that a preservative called thimerosal, which contains mercury, is the culprit responsible for autism. If the courts agree, the families will be eligible for compensation from a federal vaccine injury fund. No autism claim has yet been paid from the fund.

In the Arizona case, Theresa Cedillo says that her daughter Michelle suffered five days of fever after receiving a measles, mumps and rubella vaccination when she was 15 months old. Afterwards, according to Michelle's mother, her personality and health changed for the worse.

In addition to autism, Michelle suffers from inflammatory bowel disease, glaucoma and epilepsy. Her bones are also prone to breaks because of malnutrition, since she must eat most food through a feeding tube.

Dr. Mercola's Comment:

The link between autism and vaccines, and particularly the mercury-rich preservative thimerosal, is a highly controversial topic that often brings strong responses from both sides, but it's hard to argue with facts.

Take, for instance, a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Vaccine Data Link that concluded that children who receive thimerosal-containing vaccinations are 27 times more likely to develop autism than children who do not.

Or, consider that Amish children -- who typically don't receive vaccinations and
rarely have autism.

Let's face it, mercury is a potent neurotoxin. Injecting it into a child with a rapidly developing nervous system can have terrible consequences. It is true that in many childhood vaccines, the mercury has now been removed -- but only to be replaced with equally damaging toxins such as aluminum and formaldehyde.

Here is a partial list of some of the other fillers that vaccines can contain:

  • aluminum hydroxide
  • animal tissues: pig blood, horse blood, rabbit brain, dog kidney, monkey kidney, chick embryo, human diploid cells (originating from human aborted fetal tissue)
  • monosodium glutamate (MSG)
  • phenoxyethanol (antifreeze)
  • sorbitol
  • sucrose

If you are a parent on the fence about vaccines, please take the time to carefully evalute this issue before making a decision that could alter the life and health of your child forever. Doing so could mean the difference between life and death.

It is so sad that when you mention correlation between vaccines and autism people think you are an idiot. This is the fact and it just shows how BRAINWASHED and NAIVE people can be, or they are scared of the TRUTH!!!

WHY? Well, then they would have to invest their time in EDUCATING themselves free-willingly and accept the fact that they may decide NOT to vaccinate their children and the question numero UNO will pop up in their head. What if my child get this disease or this disease........well here is what I have to say.

MMR vaccine is a multiple vaccine. How in the world your not vaccinated child may run into ALL THREE diseases at the same time???????? What are the chances??? Probably one in trillion and I am stretching.

What I am saying is PEOPLE OPEN YOUR EYES and see what is obvious to an ****** generally speaking. I am pretty sure that those who are responsible for vaccines KNOW it. And maybe, perhaps, who knows it is a PLAN. For what? hmm de-population???? ....the deliberate dumbing down of the population??? You decide........

peace out

Also the media has a lot to do with it.  Just watch the commericals. All of the sponsors are the same people who create the vaccines. No wonder they never say a word about the dangers of thimersol.

Hello all,

I recently received news that there has been legislation introduced that calls for a study of vaccinate vs. unvaccinated populations in the U.S.

It is co-sponsored by Ron Paul.

I have posted the summary and information further down in the blog.

Please help support the legislation by taking a moment to read the information and contacting your representatvie!

Hopefully a step in the right direction....

MMR is a live attenuated vaccine, hence should have no mercury.  What is more likely a causative factor in MMR induced autism is Vitamin D deficiency, which would weaken the immune system, and render it inneffective at dealing with 3 different antigens at once. The immune system would still react, but in ways it was not meant to, and interleukin and cytokine influences would then drive CNS glial cells into a hyperactive state and they would damage the fragile cells they were meant to support.

How very sad that our society is so very deceived!  I work next to a pediatric rehabilitation center and watch autistic child after autistic child go in for therapy.  It breaks my heart -- just a little bit of education could have prevented it.

The article states that they want to "limit" an infant's exposure to mercury; just how much mercury is too much?  The goal should be to eliminate exposure to all toxins!  (Obviously, this isn't completely possible b/c of the world we live in).

The article doesn't even mention all the other lovely ingredients in vaccines:
    formaldehyde
    aborted fetal tissue
    antifreeze
    aluminum
    phenol
    methanol
    borax (aka. pesticide)
    MSG
    sulfates & phosphates
    polysorbate 80
    animal organ tissue & blood
    large foreign proteins
    latex
    animal viruses
    genetically modified yeast
    foreign DNA
JUST TO NAME A FEW!

Katy,

the CDC already held closed door meetings to discuss the autism thimersol link.  Unfortunately all the documents from those meetings were misplaced and cannot be found.
Read the things that Robert Kennedy Jr. has written on vaccines and the CDC.

These are quotes from a meeting with a lot of higher ups at the CDC. Only certain doctors were invited that wouldn't ask the right questions.

From this article

The Centers for Disease Control published a study last fall repudiating any possible link between thimerosal and developmental problems like autism in children. However, First Coast News has obtained non-published documents that show the CDC DID have data supporting such a link-- but kept it from the public.

Documents released through the Freedom of Information Act, detail the transcript of a meeting held in June of 2000 between members of the CDC, the FDA, and representatives from the vaccine industry.

The group discusses the results of a February 2000 study that finds a significant association between exposure to thimerosal-containing vaccines, and developmental issues like autism in children.

Some of the comments--

"There are just a host of neurodevelopmental data that would suggest we've got a serious problem."

"My gut feeling? It worries me. I don't want my grandson to get a thimerosal-containing vaccine until we know better what's going on."

"We are in a bad position from the standpoint of defending any lawsuits."

Finally--

"We have asked you to keep this information confidential."

And that's what happened. Three years later, the CDC published a study in the November 2003 issue of "Pediatrics" contradicting the earlier results, and clearing thimerosal of any link to neurological problems in children.

The fact that someone who works for the CDC refused to give his own grandson the vaccines should have been all over the news, but it wasn't. This is why when I have children they won't be getting any vaccines and won't be going to the public training camps, I mean schools.

I have an extremely healthy 16 month old daughter who my husband and I chose not to vaccinate.  She has only needed wellness visits to date.

For curious people looking to educate themselves, here is a link to the CDC's web site that lists all the ingredients in every vaccine.  When you go to this link, scroll down to Appendix B, and click on Vaccine Excipient and Media Summary.  Hope you find this helpful:)

If thimerasol in vaccines isn’t considered harmful, why were manufacturers asked to eliminate them from vaccines in 1999? If it is harmful (and we know it is), then administration into babies’ bodies causes harm; whether it is immediately apparent or not. This child’s case looks indefensible – she was normal and healthy before the vaccine, she reacted very badly to the vaccine, and she has suffered immense health problems since. I don’t know how Matanoski, the defence attorney can sleep at night.

I for one am praying they will win.

Chirocheer you forgot the HeLa cells (immortal cancer) which have contaminated every lab in the world.

The real sick part is that they didn't remove it from all of the vaccines. In some cases they increased it!

PPARGammaGirl hit it right on the head.  The key here is that they were ASKED to remove Thymerisol, there is no legislation in place that they have to remove it.  It is an entirely voluntary whether or not to keep it in the vaccine.  Thimerisol is a cheap ingredient and it's only purpose is to act as a preservative to increase shelf life of the vaccine.

On Fox News, a totally bought and paid for pro Big Pharmaceutical TV channel, the 'spin' on the NON FAIR & BALANCED NETWORK (Rupert 'The Yellow Hype & Scandal Sheet' Murdock Owned) was that there was absolutely no connection between vaccination and Autism; a complete LIE and fabrication.

"Fox Reports", and 'it's easy to decide'...just consider the opposite of their spin, and you are near the real TRUTH.

Alright - it's about d**m time!!  I hope these people win their case and the money is distributed - then they will HAVE to change the "requirements". It should get easier to NOT get our children vaccinated. I for one will be writing my congresspersons to change the laws so we can have more choice in this matter. I do not want to vaccinate my children further. In GA they are looking at upping the requirements for school - this is a PERFECT time to ask them WHY???

After the Varicilla shot - my son GOT THE CHICKEN POX. Granted, it was mild - but he got them. Chirocheer - thank you for listing other ingredients - we all need to know so when the time for shots come and the Dr.s and extended families are thinking we are nuts - WE ASK FOR THE INSERT AND INGREDIENT LIST BEFORE ADMINISTERING. Let any one of them say that these ingredients are perfectly harmless - and make them put it in WRITING...... they won't because they can't.

No one can force you to have your children vaccinated. Tell them it is against your religious beliefs and that you will sign a waiver (althogh you do not have to do that, but it mollifies the goon squad).

I don't know the actual law here in Texas; but, if your child does not have proper immunizations they cannot attend school.  How does one get around that?

Ah, never mind, I found the information:)  I'll have to look into getting an exemption form before my daughters next round of scheduled shots.

You can sign a religious exemption waiver. Ask the schoolfor one. They cannot force you to vaccinate your child. There is no law by which you are required. They might lie to you, however. Research it using the internal search engine at Alex Jones' website www.infowars.com.

JUST LAST YEAR...2006...One of our Occupational Therapists was about to leave work early to take her baby for her DTaP booster. I stopped her and told her she may want to reconsider, or at least put it off. She said she was not worried because her Ped assured her that the shots were all thimerosal free. I told her to demand to see the packaging AND the vile itself. She said she would... Next day, she  said that her Ped told her that reading the packaging was unnecessary but she insisted, and did so. She was appalled, because there it was in black and white...not in the insert, but on the vile!!!! AND...not just "trace" amounts, but .49% thimerosal!!!!

The good Doc was just as surprised and said that she was going to report it to the CDC. I certainly hope she did!!!! Anyone who believes that thimerosal was removed in 2000 has their head in the ground!

I live in Oregon, we had to use the religious route to no vaccines when we introduced our kids to the over-populated public trough scenario--after some home schooling. The argument on their side was, that they would pose a threat to the other students. Our argument was, if the vaccines work, then there is no problem...everyone else is protected--including our children!!! 27 years later--they are still vaccine free and healthy to boot.
