Did Bayer Drug Cause 22,000 Deaths?

Up to a third of all heart bypass patients in the U.S. were given a drug called Trasylol, manufactured by Bayer.

The drug, used to stem bleeding during open heart surgery, may have been responsible for the deaths of 22,000 patients before it was withdrawn in November 2007 at the request of the FDA.

The drug was withdrawn after a study showed that the drug caused kidney failure. According to the study’s author, Dr. Dennis Mangano, if the drug had been taken off the market when he first published his research in January 2006, over 22,000 lives could have been saved.

On “60 Minutes,” Dr. Mangano said that Bayer AG failed to disclose that a German drugmaker confirmed the same dangers that Mangano had found.

Boy, we are sure lucky that the FDA moved quickly to remove raw almonds and raw milk from the public before these natural foods could kill 22,000 people. (just can't get that tongue unstuck over the FDA)

And the governments of some other countries are gullible enough to take the FDA's word.

I heard the other day that RAW Almonds have a USDA issued bounty on them, and over at Homeland Security RAW Almonds have been placed on the 25 Most Wanted Global Terrorists List: "Wanted, Only DEAD" (nutrient depleted).

Thank God we have such conscientious civil servants protecting their citizenry's health, and well being (NOT).

"Life, Liberty & The Pursuit Of Happiness" long ago was put through the shredder "inside the beltway".

Hi You'all-

We are covering this story  in depth because one of our members is the lawyer representing the woman on 60 Minutes.  See us as www.injuryboard.com.  More stories coming today as there are 2 new studies condemning Trasylol.
The widow never thought drug companies were that bad. She now says they are guilty of a crime, they killed her husband.  Americans are catching on, unfortunately through tragic circumstances.  Thanks!

This is criminal negligence, but we will never see the company heads being persecuted, because this is not a T.V. show.  This is what really happens the lawyers make the money in lawsuits against the pharmaceutical companies, and they also make money defending the pharmaceutical companies.

Funny how tylenol on their commercial says how they make the same pain relievers for their family, so they are willing to kill their families as well. I know this is bayer, but i mean none of the companies are your friend.
