A new study has found that bigger monitors make people more productive. Researchers looked at how quickly people performed tasks, such as editing a document and copying numbers between spreadsheets, on a variety of different computer monitors.
People who used a 24-inch screen completed the tasks 52 percent faster than people who used an 18-inch monitor, and people who used a computer attached to two 20-inch monitors were 44 percent faster than those with an 18-inch screen. However, productivity dropped off again when people used a 26-inch screen.
Using a larger monitor could save as much as 2.5 hours a day.
