Exercise Is Not the Best Key to Weight Loss: Eating Clean for Weight Management Better for Waistline

Once again, the old refrain of “move more to lose weight” has proved to be not-quite-right when it comes to long-term weight loss and physical fitness. According to Medical Daily, a new study shows no evidence that physical activity alone keeps you from gaining weight. While diet and the amount we consume are still major factors in weight control, we still need to pair our diet with exercise.

If you’re looking for a lifetime road to health and fitness, working up the motivation to lose weight is half the battle, especially if you're obese and feeling overwhelmed by the number of pounds you need to lose to get healthy. The good news is you don’t have to lose it all at once to get a great boost that triggers many benefits — losing just 5 percent of your body weight lowers your risk of stroke, diabetes and heart disease.

You can lose weight right away by simply eliminating or strictly limiting fructose in your diet, and by replacing processed foods with REAL food. You can also use intermittent fasting as you do this, which helps reset your body to use fat as its primary fuel.

Exercising in this fasted state will bring it up another notch. A 10-minute, high-intensity Peak Fitness exercise program will burn fat, as well as increase muscle mass. And finally, always address the emotional component of your eating. For this I highly recommend the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a kind of needleless acupuncture that uses tapping to help you eliminate food cravings naturally
